This place is perfect in so many ways. I want to go back ☀️

I arrived as a beginner surfer who was just about popping up and falling off. And now I am far more confident to surf alone and try new spots, even if I am still falling off. Maurício and Vander and the best teachers and really get into the import theory of surfing as well and on the water tips and tricks. They made me feel super safe and comfortable. I had the best few weeks. Thank you both.

The surf trips were fun too, where you can go into Salvador and try other spots of the conditions aren’t great at camp. 

The camp attracts so many lovely people from across Brasil and the world. Families and couples and solo travellers. 

My fav part was the food, Chef Rita and her team can COOK. It was the most healthy and delicious food I have had in a very long time. 

Also the location is magical, so peaceful on the long beach with barely anyone there in the week, I enjoyed long runs to the end of the beach ❤️

This place will make you fall in love with Bahia and the ocean and will give you a true surfing experience .

Great teachers and yummy food

Bahia Surf Camp exceeded my expectations in every way. The service and facilities provided a tropical adult summer camp in paradise vibe, and the activities were a blast. It was my first time surfing and the coaching was effective and patient. The hearty, healthy food, yoga, massage, and amazing company were all cherries on top. I’m already trying to figure when I can make it back from the USA!

Exceeded expectations across the board

The surf camp is a wonderful relaxing place to stay, I highly recommend it, especially as a solo female traveller. It is very safe and the food is amazing and the staff as very good (even with beginner surfers like me!). I most appreciated the friendliness of the other visitors, as we shared all meals together. Yoga classes were nice, surf classes were great and varied by time of the tides. The rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The beach was very beautiful and good for long walks in the morning. My favourite place was the covered balcony near the ocean, to read and watch the sunset with new friends. Thank you Beto and Maurício and Wonder for your hospitality, and Rita and kitchen staff for the beautiful food! :) Erin (Canada)

Wonderful place to connect with people and the ocean

Bahia Surf Camp feels like a home away from home. It has the perfect size and it is absolutely beautiful, its next to a beach that looks like paradise! The food is incredible, the surf teacher are absolutely great, the groups small, the surfspots not crowded. All the staff are always helpful and superfriendly. The rooms are beautiful and spaceous. That being said, looking forward to come back soon, obrigada galera!

Amazing camp, amazing vibe

More than a simple "surf camp", Beto is a friendly guy who created such an amazing experience! Teachers Mauricio and Vander are very patient and helpful which allows me to quickly understand the surfing basics. Chef Rita cooks many delicious (and healthy) meals and with Jeferson helpfulness I really felt at home!

Their infrastructure have everything you need for develop your skills and have a good relaxing time! Most of days i could enjoy the swimming pool, relax in the many hammocks they have, practice some slacklining, have a good massage in front of a private beach, do some stand up paddle in a nearby lake, exercise in a local gym and also learning how to skating in a bowl.

Additionally, the place has a great energy that makes it easy for everyone to get together, have a few drinks and laugh. I already miss those days and I'm one hundred percent sure that I'll be back someday!

Surfing, Skating and Good New Friends!

This place was the perfect piece of paradise I was looking for. So much so, that I extended my stay to 6 weeks AND THEN came back a month later to stay more. I’ll break it down in a little more detail:

Food: you get 3 amazing meals per day and they accommodate to all types of eaters. You eat in a communal area with everyone which is great for socializing. 

Accommodation: super comfy beds, great A/C, amazing wifi (I was working while there), hot showers, and a lot of privacy if you want it. 

Activities: there’s so much to do there such as (obviously) surfing, skateboarding, paddle boarding, slack line, yoga, billiards, ping pong, and much more. Mauricio and Beto will give you amazing instructions if you don’t know how to do any of it. 

Location: you’re on a private beach in a private condominium yet only a short uber ride away from Salvador. It’s perfect. The beach feels untouched and there is quite a lot of nature to be seen. 

Staff: the people that work there are truly what make it great. It felt like home to me because they really treat you like family. Saying bye to everyone that works there was the hardest part for me. 

Staying here absolutely made my trip and I will 100% be returning in the future.

Paradise

I had the most amazing 2 weeks at Bahia Surf Camp. In fact, I came for one week but had to extend for one more - this is how great this place is.
I am so grateful to all the people working there: they are very friendly and they put their souls in what they do. Rita, Michelle and everyone in the kitchen cook the most delicious healthy meals; Jeff, Natal, and others are taking extremely good care of the property; and Beto the owner makes all of this possible.
But most of all I am thankful to Mauricio for being the best surf teacher I've ever met. I came there without an intention to surf after being traumatized by my previous injury and bad experiences, but after I saw how they teach classes I gave it a try. They pay so much attention to details, having some of the lessons on the lake nearby to practice paddling, jumpstart, turtle - I've never been to such rigid classes before. Thanks to Mauricio's attention and kindness I started doing green waves after just a few classes, which I didn't believe would be ever possible again. This experience has changed me, both as a surfer and as a person.
Also a shoutout to Ludmila for providing thoughtful and restorative yoga sessions and Magno for the best massage ever.
On a side note, the camp has very high security and a beautiful private beach, where most of the time we were the only people. The territory is green and well taken care of, room had everything we needed and a terrace.
To top it off, the location has biodiversity including turtles, and seeing baby turtles hatching on the beach was one of the highlights.
I absolutely loved this place and I hope I will be back soon <3

Unforgettable 2 weeks

Had a wonderful stay at Bahia surf camp. Learnt loads to help improve my surfing, from my pop up to wave selection - so big thank you to Beto, Mauricio and Leo. The food was fantastic thanks to Rita, and frankly we were spoiled for choice during our stay. The location is perfect with a beach right in front of the camp, and we were lucky to go on a few surf trips to nearby beaches too. Overall, I would highly recommend it - even as a solo traveller as it was a great place to meet people!

Amazing stay at Bahia Surf camp

We had a wonderful week at Bahia Surf Camp! The place has a special charm, an invigorating energy! While my son took surf lessons, my husband and I enjoyed the paradise beach. The instructors (Mauricio and Fernando) were great. They do everything to make us learn the right technique! If the tide is not good, no problem, they took us to another beach! 
The surf camp is fantastic, located on a private beach and has everything you need: enough chill areas with hammocks, a bar, a pool, a gym, a skateboard track, a game zone (table tennis, table football and billiards).  If you want, there are also yoga classes, which make the day perfect
Meals are a separate chapter. They are served in a half-open area, which provides contact with other guests, and thus facilitates great conversations at the end of the day! The food is very healthy and delicious! Dona Rita strives to meet the wishes of each guest with great care and attention to detail! In short, a wonderful place, a wonderful stay, with a staff that does everything to make us feel at home! We will be back for sure!


Unforgettable vacation

Had an amazing time at the surf camp. I’d never been to a place so we’ll designed and with everything you would want - 50 meters from the beach, a pool, yoga, skate bowl, slack line, standup paddle boarding… The owner Beto and his family are super nice and helpful. Beto and the other surf coaches give very personalized advice and I made huge improvements in my surfing in just a few days. The food was incredible, cooked by an amazing chef named Rita. Overall a great time
