We absolutely loved this charming hotel. The grounds are lush and create a sense of privacy and seclusion although it is only a 10 minute walk to the main area. The staff are friendly and helpful. Each room has a large balcony with a hammock. The pool area is relaxing. We did a couples massage. We also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. This hotel was the highlight of our family trip to Brazil.

Beautiful Boutique hotel in Buzios

This boutique hotel is set back from the main part of the resort however it is within a 15 minute walk of the main area and the waterfront. 
The reception staff are professional and friendly.
Our room was a good size well appointed with good facilities including hairdryer and safe.
Bathroom was modern with a large shower. Balconies are excellent,  large, decent furnishings including a hammock. 
Pool area is set within the large tropical garden. The buffet breakfast is served in the small bar area next to the pool.
The hotel has a sauna again set in the gardens as well as a wellness area where you can enjoy a massage which is one of the treatments offered by the hotel Spa staff.
This hotel is a great choice for any stay in Buzios we would happily return to it.


Lovely peaceful hotel 

The hotel is really great. The room was beautiful, and the view even better. The location is also great, near from the beach and city center, restaurants. The breakfast was good. I did a massage that was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect stay

Great hotel, peaceful, well located, 15 min walking from Rua das Pedras.

The staff are excellent at this hotel and really made our stay special.

All of them deserve credit but we had specific great interactions and service from Priscilla and the young lady that works in the bar at the reception. They were always super friendly with their interactions, and really went the extra mile when it came to special requests and personalised services.

The breakfast was great, varied and designed to mimic home cooked grandma style breakfast which made every day start that bit better.

We can’t recommend the hotel enough, we even visited during the busiest week of the year and the hotel still managed to be a tranquil setting to relax against the super busy buzios during the new year break.

Amazing stay! Recommended!

This hotel was amazing and did not have one fault. Everything they offered was to the point and lot of guidance when it came to what beaches and restaurants to visit. All the staff were helpful and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We were booked for 4 nights but then extended by further 2 nights.

Amazing stay and experience

Great location not too far from the centre. Perfect for peace and quiet. The rooms were IMMACULATE. Spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and were more than happy to help. Reception staff helped us to book trips in Buzios and Arraial do Cabo.
The pool area was also stunning. 

Perfect Quiet Getaway

the hotel was classed as a mid-upper class hotel situated amongst green trees and around 12min walk to the beach it is set on a hill so if you have mobility issues then this is not for you as there are steps  going to the pool and all rooms with no lifts. The verity of food is not great so we mainly went into town to have a evening meal, the room itself was basic we had issues with mould in the shower / backs of curtains and a tap that swung around when in use bed linen was dirty looking and room needed dusting although they emptied the bins and changed towels.
The entertainment  was not great so spent most of the time in the town centre, The hotel was on a quiet island so there was not a lot to do as we are adventure goes we found it was too quiet for us, if you like sitting by the pool all day then it would be fine.
All the staff was friendly and attentive and was a great help but for what the hotel was it was not for us.

Mid - Upper class hotel ?

What a beautiful hotel! The rooms are spacious and well kitted out and the other facilities are beautiful too. What really makes this place special, however, is the amazing staff. The manageress could not have been more friendly, accommodating, gracious and helpful. Levi was also fabulous and helpful. Truthfully, everyone, including the bar staff and cleaners made you feel more like a cherished family member than a hotel guest. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Amazing hotel

Wonderful weekend at PortoBay in Búzios. The room was large and beautifully decorated with a lovely patio and plenty of space for our family of four (separate little room for kids’ beds). The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the large pool was great for a dip after a day beach hopping. The staff was super helpful and went out of their way to get my son’s forgotten backpack back to us in Rio.

Great choice for a family!

Lovely hotel with great breakfast, views and very nice staff. It's very close to mail street and best beaches (like Geriba). I especially recommend master suites (they have great tarrace and views). This hotel is not the newest one but it's well maintained and definitely has a charm!
