I need more stars because 5 stars are not enough. This inn welcomed us late at night, because our flight into Recife was delayed. The atmosphere is so beautiful, truly charming. When you step inside it is like you are leaving the bustle of the town behind and entering a special secret garden. The breakfasts are amazing. We stayed 4 nights and every morning there were different offerings - all excellent. Dona Leni is so hospitable and thoughtful in every detail. She even let us leave our suitcases at the inn after checkout so that they would be out of the sun. She provided a way for me to clean my seashells and dry them. She has helpful tips for restaurants and activities. Every afternoon from 5 to 6pm there is a lovely afternoon tea (or coffee) with cakes and cookies. Her staff is so kind and welcoming too. We loved every aspect of the Pousada. I highly recommend staying there if you are headed to Porto de Galinhas.

5 stars are not enough! 

The Pousada is gorgeous and cozy. The lobby where the staff serve breakfast and late snack (cafe da tarde) is just beautiful. Truly is something different. Breakfast amazing quality. Clean room and comfortable bed. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. Dona Lene heard me talking that I loved some cookies which I ate when I was a child and on the next day she surprised me buying some extra cookies for me to take home. Simply above and beyond.

Cozy and Marvelous Stay

This hotel is fabulous! With only six rooms, it's always really tranquil. The hotel owner is so friendly and does everything possible to make your stay memorable.

Breakfast was amazing, with the option to have fried eggs and tapioca made fresh upon request. There was also a large variety of fruit, meats and cakes. The person making the cakes has real talent and could consider applying to take part in Bake Off Brasil Mão na Massa! 

The hotel room was fairly small, but was extremely comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home! The only real issue I had was with the window, which was a solid wooden shutter, which opened out directly onto a terrace area (no glass). It would have been nice to open the shutter without having an open window. However this does not detract from the amazing qualities of this hotel.

One piece of advice: book this hotel! You won't regret it! 

Amazing place to stay!

Please...don't come here.  With only 6 guest rooms I want to be sure that there is one available for me when I come back.  You can do what I did at first...which is look around and convince yourself that something must be wrong with this place for the price, and you should consider getting a room up the shore at one of the resorts where you'll pay 2 to 3 times more.

No, don't stay here...even though this place is on a quiet street 1/2 block from the colorful, clean tourist town center of Porto De Galinhas, which is especially great for the low-tide pools which are not to be missed.  For you, stay in those resorts a taxi ride away.

For my stay, our room was small, but well appointed, decorated and newly remodeled (as opposed to some of those other place which look like they were last remodeled in the '50s). New comfortable bed too, A/C, wifi, refrigerator/bar and cable.  But for how nice the room is the guest areas are even nicer, clean, and beautifully decorated, and a great place to have the included large breakfast where our hostess, Livia, takes pride in her what's served and couldn't do enough for us or for the other guest.  Even a small pool if you like if need to relax from the hustle of all there is to do in town.

No...you need to stay somewhere else, because if this place is full the next time I come back then you just didn't listen to me. :)

Please don't come here!  I want this place all for myself :)

Our trip to Porto da Galinhas was a very last minute decision, and we considered ourselves truly blessed that this beautiful pousada had availability for our dates.

We booked directly with the property but they are also on booking.com, which was how we found them. One thing that we had read about Porto de Galinhas, and that we totally agreed with, is that it's best to stay within the village area as opposed to in one of the resort areas, specially if you are not hiring a car for the duration of your stay - and even then, there is something really nice about being able to go for an evening stroll around the village without having to rely on the car but that's personal preference! 

This pousada is on Square 9 (Praca 9), and everything is literally just around the corner, including the bus that takes you directly to Recife international airport! The local beach, with the natural pools, is a couple of minutes' walk and you've got a choice of tour agencies if you wish to make day trips to other places or do a buggy tour of the other local beaches. We didn't take any tours or the buggy ride as we feel the need to be quite active, and simply walked all the way to the end of the next beach, Maracaipe, which was stunning.

Our room was on the ground floor and our only observation is that it is not particularly private if you have the window open, seeing that it faces an ever-so-pretty courtyard. We thought that a shell curtain (or something that won't block the natural light) will probably do the trick?! On the other hand, how much time are you likely to spend in your room during the day?The only other point is that, unlike some of the other pousadas we stayed in, we didn't have a ceiling fan in our room which we much prefer to using the air conditioner. Otherwise, the room was of a good size, prettily decorated and incredibly comfortable and clean.

Additionally, the pousada offers at least three communal areas, including the TV / lounge indoor, and a small pool. The whole property looks and feels very new, and it's immaculately kept. And we fell in love with the decoration - it's all in keep with the local culture and so tasteful!!

The owner, Da. Lenir, is amazing! A charming, super-friendly lady, and a true people person. She welcomed us with open arms, and couldn't possibly have done more to ensure that we had a super-memorable stay. She was also an absolute pleasure to chat to, showing a genuine interest in her guests and happy to share her experiences and stories. However, please note that I spoke to her in Portuguese the whole time so please bear this in mind if you don't speak the language or at least some Spanish.

Still about Da. Lenir, she actually did the cooking at breakfast, and we ate like kings!! Ok, king & queen :-) Plenty of fresh fruit, juices, fresh bread, at least two choices of freshly baked cake, jams, cold meats, cheese plus a choice of eggs, tapioca or corn cuscuz cooked to order. The food was fabulous, and the tables are beautifully laid out and decorated - the perfect start to one's day!

Overall, we could (so very) easily have stayed here another week...!!!!
