The place is beautiful, well kept and children will love it but it is clear how unprepared they are to have good service after Covid reopened. Staff is kind but the service is poor. Everything I requested took almost a day. Internet doesn't exist in any place, only in the reception. Kid's club is great but all agenda takes place almost in the same time during morning which makes you lose time in long rows or lose activity. It is clear they don't have enough employees to serve everything they have during all day. Kids recreation until 10PM is wonderful when your children is older and go to bad late in the night, which was not my case (twins of 4y), with a lot of noise at night in our door room. Waited 20 min in the front gate to enter in the hotel - the front desk girl had to finish one family check in first and after it she came to open the gate. Nobody to carry on bags from the car to the room (have steps and with 2 young children this is very difficult). Recreation staff is wonderful and made their best to offer good time for everybody and we had a lot of good memories. Food is bellow average and restaurant service is lazy and not trained. Had only 1 employee to serve all pool area during all day. I will not return.

My mother, my cousin, my wife and I have spent a weekend at Parador Maritacas.
Very spacious place, spread out where used to be a family farmer.
Well decorated architecture, rustic and farm stylish.
Very comfortable, extremely clean and well maintained.
Great variety of food pleasing all different kind of taste.
However the up most highlight is the staff.
Lovely people, simple but hard workers to make everything to please you. Amazing.
Hats off to all of them, Cristiano, Fatima, Bruna,Gabriel, Luciano, José Pé de Serra, Flavio, Juliene the masseur, Tio Catatau, Tia Bruna, Tia Pizza and all the background staff for maintenance, housekeeping, coach, cowboys and so many.
Outstanding job. Congrats to all.
We feel pampered by all of them.

Great surprise outstanding service & staff

Was a very good stay , perfect to have good time with friends and family. Children will love.
But only one bad new.....Foods ! not good at all . Only the breakfast is good .The general manager told us they will fix it . Will see .
Need a GPS to get there , the resort is located at about 2 h by car from Rio de Janeiro .

VERY GOOD BUT !

Have stayed at this hotel after receiving good recommendation from a friend. However, I must say my impressions were not as good as his.
I will present them in some bullet points.

Pros

- Rooms are spacious
- Kids club is very handy
- Little farm is well maintained

Cons

- Rooms are dark, even with lights on
- There was a scorpion in my room
- Water pressure in the shower is ridiculously low
- Internet did not work most of the time,even though advertised
- There is not even a basic supply of first aid medications for any emergency. This becomes an issue especially when pharmacy delivery is inexistent after 6pm.
- They ran out of milk and other products during a long weekend/holiday showing lack of planning and preparedness for the situation when they were fully booked.
- The bar by the pool did not offer anything but water, a few brands of beer and some drinks. No option of any type of food.
- Restaurant always offered a few options for dinner. However, they were not prepared for an event when most of the people would go for the same option and, unfortunately to them, it happened one night and all you could see was waiters running around and bringing food that did not match exactly what was in the menu. For instance, I ordered duck and apricot rice and what I got after a long wait was duck and plain rice.

I could probably go on a bit more about issues encountered but I think this is already enough to explain my rate. Hopefully, they will address these issues for future guests in order to remain in business even though they have some fat to burn given the prices charged.
