Spotless cheery rooms on a 3 story covered atrium, rooftop lounge with great views, helpful staff and a breakfast with eggs, bread, fruit, and juice. Good location in city center. Heated and 24hr hot water. Great hostel!

Friendly, cheery spot

Great stay here! Warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Fantastic rooftop, with nice ‘glass house’ overlooking the whole city while protected from rain (and thunder) during our stay in rainy season. Also pretty good breakfast in this price category. You can either enjoy a little me-time or meet people on the roof. We made some fun friends here. Location good too. Recommended!

Great stay, nice rooftop

Had a really wonderful stay. The room and bathroom are very spacious. Location is 5 min to main square. The owner was always on site when I was there and ready to answer your questions. Ranan showed me a map of the city also warned me about the hours of some of the sites. The hotel has a wonderful roof top with great view of the main mountain of the city cerra rico, the sun set was beautiful. And if you are afraid of the cold? No problem, it’s got a sun room with couch! Will def recommend!

Great location with rooftop for the view of city

Great location, very friendly helpful staff, good WIFI, clean and tidy, heating and hot water and an ok breakfast..more positives than negatives!! Comfy and clean rooms. Would recommend! There is also a good sized kitchen with everything you need to cook a decent meal and a great roof terrace to chill out. Great place!

Worth the extra money..

Keeping in mind this is a hostel and not a hotel, I gave it four stars.  The owners are really nice and I paid more for a room the first night right around the corner that wasn't worth the extra money compared to Eucalyptus.  Also, Eucalyptus has strong wifi which we needed.  It was a treat to send our breakfast up the dumb water to eat with a sunrise view over the city and Cerro Rico.  I also did an excellent work out there on my own which was another great start to the day.

Good Value and Fun Rooftop

Situated a short walk from the City centre, and a 30 bols taxi ride from the main bus terminus. Very warm friendly welcome from the charming young Irish couple staying on a work away scheme. Room (4) had plenty of space/hanging space, a radiator and average linens and towels. Bathroom was grubby. Bedroom floors dirty. Wifi signal really poor. We desperately needed laundry done by the next day, but even though the washer and dryer were not being used, the owner couldn't be bothered to help us out. Kitchen was quite well equipped. Bread rolls at breakfast best since leaving home 6 months ago. Rooftop terrace very nice with excellent views.
Overall average value. 

Ok stay - miserable owner 

OK two guys seem to be running it. One is super informative the other is unfriendly. We arrived and got a twin room. Rooms were clean and shower was good.

The rood over the main area has holes in it so when we arrived there was buckets picking up water coming from metal roof. Asked them to order taxi and he said taxi service not answering so go to street. Breakfast not great, they cook scrambled egg was served and left on counter first thing so you don't know how long it was there. Yogurt and cereal was lovely.

After we finish POTOSI mines they allowed us to shower which was nice touch.

Look don't know if there is better in Potosi but 15 euro was not great value for what we got

I don't know how to rate it! 

Hostel is reasonably well located. Breakfast was OK, nice bread and orange juice among other things. The one really good thing was - there was well functioning heating.
But!
The manager must be the rudest man in Bolivia. He did not like something I said while checking in, and made an issue out of it. When I asked for free toiletries promised in the booking, he advised that I was free to find another hotel (the only thing provided was liquid soap). I see from other reviews that he is rude to guests on regular basis. 
The room was not ready - I had to ask for everything from towels to toilet paper. Of course my request was met with more rudeness.
The hotel is run down, in bad need of a coat of paint; the bathroom ceiling had what looked like black mould. The sofa in reception is sooo dirty. All the furniture was rickety with age. The bed cover looked disgusting dirty purple colour, with small white staff sticking to it. The bed felt itchy.

Whish I had stayed somewhere else

I don't like writing negative reviews, but we didn't enjoy our stay. Had a private double room in this hostel. Shabby is a good adjective, but not in a chic way. Everything was worn and old and the bathroom was grubby and had had numerous half-assed repairs to the tiles. I did not bathe there--it just looked too unclean (and I'm used to hostels!). 

In general, the place is a little run-down and seems somewhat expensive for what you get in terms of a private en-suite room. I don't think I'd stay here again, although it is in a good location and the view from the roof is interesting, as it has a panoramic view of the cerro rico (I wouldn't say the view is "nice" because very little of Potosí is nice). The staff were nice, in my experience, although not overly friendly. The owner, or one of the owners, was repairing his motorcycle right in the middle of the common area/courtyard when we stayed, which filled the entire hostel with the smell of motor oil that lingered for more than a day. Weird place to fix it, and pretty obnoxious, I think.
