This b$b is more like a hostel, but a really good one! The room looked very nice and the breakfast was ok. Overall, we had a good experience there!

Good place

I liked the staff very much, they are very friendly and helpful. Ask them fro anything and they do what they can to help you out.

Just 10 minutes walk from the main city thoroughfare, this B&B is part of many properties apparently owned by the same hostel company on the one street. What this creates is a feeling of security as you know there are many other visitors around the same area on this quiet street, so you can feel relatively safe at night if you're out late (or early).

The properties I saw (the main office building and the one we stayed at) were both clean and architecturally interesting, provided large rooms with plenty of space, privacy, access to bathrooms and a stocked kitchen - just like being in someone's home to stay. The staff were very friendly and it proved to be an ideal start to my South American acclimatisation (to altitude too!) and provided views of the surrounding Mountains and the quite location was particularly appreciated after the noise (the honking!) of the city centre proper.

They won't win many awards, but this is absolutely worth the money - recommended.

Friendly staff and conveniently located accomodation.

In a quite residential neighborhood,  up on a steep hill. Breakfast is nice all on one kitchen table. Might be packed though when it's full.  Although I had breakfast included I was not offered early breakfast when I said would leave earlier the next morning.  Unfortunately no interaction with other guests, very anonymous, and lounge closing at 11pm. In the room the girls went to bed by 9 and felt bothered by my reading light. 

Have been to better places

Cons:
No. 10 on their rules is: 
"It is forbidden to wash clothes in.... for HYGENIC (sic) reasons".

I got home one time and saw my slippers and sandals on top of my bed/blanket. They just put it there while cleaning the floor.
Also, when I went to the kitchen one morning to cook, I saw that the same pot (there were only 3) that we use for cooking meals is right then being use to boil the towels/rugs use for wiping the table/plates with detergent/bleach.
Another time after they "clean" our room, my roommate's huge wheeled bag is thrown in my bed together with another plastic bag of footwear (should I be thankful that these were the only things on the floor of the room when they were cleaning?). And when I called the lady and pointed it out, she just laughed and said oh, she thought it was mine. Also, all my clothes that are innocently hanged in the bed railings where just thrown in the table.

Location. 
It's about 2km from Plaza San Francisco/Witch Market.
Several blocks from the nearest supermarket. 
And the four or five blocks of uphill climb to go home everyday feels like ten blocks.

Small dining table. At best, the table fits 8. During breakfast, you have to wait for the others to finish before you can have yours.

Strict curfew hours, until my friend voiced out loud about mentioning it in reviews. After that, we somehow got allowed to stay up longer.
Though, I don't understand why we get asked to leave the living room just for the staff to watch tv there herself.

Pros:
The actual place looked unbelievably good for 7usd, it was a home before, with a nice living room, the female dorm has our own toilet which has tissues and hand soap, and the hot shower is really good.
The trash in the toilets is always emptied.
The bed in the private room is saggy in the middle but the room is big.
No heater anywhere but the beds have at least 3 blankets each, and it is warm to sleep in.
Good kitchen. (Just re-wash the pots, or every thing really, before use.)
I would say that the whole place "looks" clean. But I learned here that look and actual cleanliness are two different things.
I would recommend this place for overall good value for money.

Good value for money but not very good location.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very nice and the bed was confortable. Good hot showers and the breakfast was good too.
Nice staff and good to meet other travellers.
The bad thing is that they are far away from the centre and they charged us more than what we booked for.

Expedia took money from my visa to pay for the first night reservation and the hotel is charging 35 CAD when the rate in the expidia Web site was 19 CAD.THIS IS VERY UPSETTING AND I WOULD LIKE EXPEDIA TO REINBURSE THE EXTRA CHARGE AND DEAL WITH THE HOTEL

Nice hotel well located

They are using arbitrary exchange rates and not the official ones or the ones from Booking.com for that matter to simply cash in more money from their customers.

Also, it states nowhere that they will do that, even though they claim that this is the rule.

Furthermore, guys are banded in the cold and uncomfortable lower level of the building.
