This place is nestled in a quaint quiet area. I compare it to Vail, Colorado only better. The reason it is better is there are no people around. If you want action, don’t go there. If you want piece and quiet it is A .

This hotel is quaint, quiet and clean. The owner was gracious and so kind. I think we were the only ones staying here and she still made us dinner!  They have a trout pond so fish could not be any fresher. The hotel had beautiful flowers. You could here a stream from our room. There is no better white noise!

Best kept secret

It looks us a few passes to find this hotel, only a little sign outside so it was a bit tricky to find. Shown to our room by the owner. We were surprised by the quality of the hotel and the layout. Had read a few reviews but we found it to be lovely. Breakfast the following morning was all layed out for us and was plenty full and fresh. I think we only paid 65euro for the night. Paid an awful lot more and received an awful lot less. Cracking little place. Would stay again. 

Lovely peaceful place. 

Le Moulin Simonis is a lovely hotel in a beautiful, quiet location. The staff are friendly, however the facilities are not as advertised. The restaurant was closed on the night we stayed and the bar & reception closed early evening. This wouldn’t have been an issue, had the listing not advertised these facilities.  This is less a hotel, more a guest house / b&b.

Very nice location, easy-going service, clean roomy accomodation. Might be too silent for thrill-seekers.

Very nice location.  We spent one night with two kids in a family room.  The room was very large, clean and fresh.  We had a great dinner (very nice menu) with fish as specialty (the fishes Truites were taken out off the water a few minutes before being served on table).  The location was really calm (in a small valley, close to a small river and being surrounded by trees) … we did not have the opportunity to do a walk but I guess it’s a great place to walk, to bike etc…. The woman in charge was really nice with the guests (and the children), she offered different menus dedicated to our two childs (5 and 6).  Laforêt is close to very beautiful villages like Rochehaut (with lots of activities to do), Vresse-s-Semois, Frahan ….

Small river, forest, nice people and calm …

Nice and comfortable countryhouse. A great place to disconnect for a bit (no TV, limited cellular network,...)

Cosy

Very comfortable hotel, with an excellent restaurant. We were touring through Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany, following the Meuse from Namur to Monthermé and then the Semois towards Luxemburg and the Mosel from Trier to Bernkastl. This hotel is a very pleasant stopover on the trip. It has a lovely garden, great rooms, and great food.

Great place in the middle of nowhere

The building was of a good standard but the hotel lacked the friendly approach to their guests. On arrival at 16.30 we found the door locked and had to wait for it to be opened. The hotel listed a restaurant but no evening meal was available. There was no information on times of breakfast or restaurants nearby. Although the hotel is in a beautiful location the hotel totally lacked character.
