The room was very nice but you can see there was a lot of DIY. Shame that there was no shower to rince your hair. Only a big nice bath tub.
Excellent breakfast. The place needs a little TLC to put it back in good shape.

Quirky but nice place

The house is in a typical residential street a few minutes walk from the town centre, but that's where normality ends! You enter through a jungle into the most quirky and eccentric of houses. Our room (No 1) was huge and was decorated in a most individual of styles. The WC was behind a curtain (it helps to get on with your room mate!) and the bath is at the foot of the bed. There is a sink in the wardrobe and the window looks out into the most amazing conservatory, like a mini Kew Gardens hot house. As has been said the breakfast was fabulous. All in all a great place to stay.

Bonkers but Brilliant

From the moment you step inside it is clear that the owners take pride in owning a B&B that is very individual and full of character. The place is full of antiques and is spotlessly clean. There are 3 bedrooms- one on the ground floor, one on the first floor and the final one in the eaves of the property. We had the double on the first floor. It was elegant and bright with lovely furnishings. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided as well as bathrobes. The bathroom was spacious and featured an antique bath- fantastic!. We were surprised to have a curtain leading to the bathroom rather than a door but this added to the quirkiness of the place. Breakfast was excellent- rolls, breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, hams and cheeses etc. Creamy scrambled eggs and boiled eggs were also available.The jams tasted homemade and were delicious. There is plenty of free on road parking and the centre of Poperinge (a lovely place) is within easy walking distance. This is a really great place to stay and I'd recommend it. Please note that the B&B doesn't accept credit/debit cards.

A superb B&B

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting the various WW1 sites in the area. It is a small B & B but very comfortable. The place was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Large en-suite bathroom with a nice big bath but for a shower you had to leave your room and use the shower room down a flight of stairs.  The ensuite is only partition off by a curtain so privacy may be an issue. The bedroom itself was an eclectic mix of furniture and ornaments of various ages etc.
Wifi was available in the room free of charge.
Breakfast was continental but plenty of it and very nice. Parking outside on the street easy and plenty of space.
5-10 walk into the town square so very convenient ,several bars and restaurants to choose from.
Overall good value and I would recommend it.

Convenient Place To Stay

The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very fresh with a variety of dishes. We stayed in the family room and had a very comfortable night's sleep. Located in a quiet street in the outskirts of Poperinge, very easy to get into Ypres.
