Hotel Donny

hotel is in a great location with trams outside to all directions including the train station and the costal tram to Knokke, 5 mins to the amazingly sandy beach 10 mins to the shops the hotel staff were very friendly everywhere was very clean and the room was well maintained but the room was a bit cold of an evening time even with the heating on breakfast had everything u could want and we enjoyed the meals everynight but i thought the ala carte could do with a bit more imagination as not everybody likes to eat burgers but the market menu is excellent for me the highlight of this hotel is the Spa & Fitness area an amazing space and never felt over crowded this is the first hotel that i have been to that actually had a dedicated smoking room which i thougt is a great idea instead of people standing outside the main doors with the smoke then wafting in and then smelling the whole reception was able to meet the owner who is a very approachable young man and very passionate about his hotel this is a dog and cat friendly hotel which is ok but there should be a size limit as there was a couple of large dogs during our visit which might not be suitable for those who tolerate animals from a distance we will be going back again as really enjoyed it despite the couple of niggles i have mentioned
