Tbh I don't know what everyone is whinging about. This place is sick. The food is amazing. 20 dollar chicken burger and a beer was amazing. Best chicken burger I've had. The staff are more then amazing. Nina and manager Nathan are very very good people and wonderful staff. And for 25 dollars a night per person is amazing. It's a walk from everything. Cafes, shops, the blowhole. Everything. It's a wonderful experience and a great place to stay. Honestly can't give it enough praise. Such a good time. Give it a go and remember it's 25 bucks a night, don't be a sook and have a great time.

just straight up garbage literally rooms are dirty there’s no shower public bathrooms only and it took a 5 minute walk just to the room my honest opinion: fix your service and room like who the fvck hired you there’s no guest wifi and no charging outlets

Go here if you want to experience:
-A room that rivals the living condition of a trench
-Food comparable to rat vomit
-Walking on stairs that may break any second
-Bathrooms that make jail toilets look good

Not even homeless people stay here

Rather live on the streets than this

We spent an afternoon in the bar to get out of the rain and what a great afternoon it was.
The friendly locals were hilarious, nice beers successful afternoon punting and a great all round atmosphere.
I would definitely return for another session when back in town.

Beer Punt & a Genuine Great Afternoon

The staff at the Grand went out of their way to set up a room and tables for dinner for a party of 11  after another restaurant in Kiama had failed to record our reservation and just sent us on our way with a to bad.
The food was good and the service was exceptional.

Buyer beware. Our room was water damaged from a storm, wet carpet, wet mattress, wet sheets and the stench was appalling. Due to festival no alternate accommodation was available in Berry, Kiama, Wollongong. We braved it for 1 night and cancelled our second night as the room was uninhabitable. Despite promising a refund, they later said the terms and conditions stated refunds were not an option, even though the room was uninhabitable and not fit for purpose. Noone responds to emails or phone calls despite saying they will.  Bathrooms were dirty, no hand wash sinks, showers are a health hazard, bar and food service were chaotic and the pub is extremely poorly managed. You have been warned.

Music festival added ambiance and vibe to the area

I stayed here for one night and was appaulled - would never stay again. 
We were given one sheet on the bed, no pillow cases but pillows and no blankets, duvets or towels. As we had expected at least a blanket on the bed we had to use clothes as blankets overnight. The floor was mouldy and the curtains did not move and the curtains were nearly worn through. The room had a sink which was not clean and a mirror which was broken. 

The staff were rude and if we did not arrive by 9:30 we would not be allowed to stay the night. The place also felt very unsafe and would never stay again.

Absolutely Not Worth It

Very Dirty ignored by staff at counter for 20 mins on check in told room not ready come back in an hour 2 hours later had to get ready for the nite in the hallway as room still not ready shared bathrooms are filthy and falling apart do not stay here avoid at all costs

Room not ready on arrival, had to wait three hours, no staff on site to sort the rooms out. Staff from another pub as no staff were there that usually run the place. Eventually got a room key to find a room straight from the Texas chain saw massacre.no taps in the bathroom and carpet an curtains moth eaten, holes in the roof and a complete mess. Did not stay and will be applying for a refund from last minute, Do not bother to book in.
