This accommodation was highly appreciated by myself and a work colleague when we stayed there in February this year. Helena is the perfect hostess who not only thinks about every detail but also provides nothing but the best with her personal touch. Helena and her husband were delightful company as they engaged us in some interesting conversations.
The rooms were light, airy and comfortable and the bed was very easy to sleep in. We loved the breakfast with all the top quality bread, coffee, cereal and spreads.
Its a great location and we were able to walk to the nearest hotel for dinner in the evening.
I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to Keith as I am sure you will appreciate it as much as we did.

Home away from Home - a little gem!

We do I start. The gardens are very well maintained. It an absolute pleasure to walk amongst the great variety of roses. The home itself is impeccable. Considering it’s on a gravel driveway. The room and bathroom is very spacious. The bathroom even has a large spa bath. It’s the little things that are there in detail. Sanitary toilet wipes, bathing products, the hosts have not missed anything. The dining room is spacious too. One thing that I noticed more than anything was that it was immaculate. The off white carpet said it all. Absolutely pristine. The hosts Helena & Rodwell we very friendly and helpful. We had our own dining area, but chose to have them enjoy breakfast with us. They were great company. The breakfast was an eye opener. Never have I seen so much food on offer for breakfast unless it’s a buffet breakfast at a restaurant. This breakfast had everything you could imagine. It was a wonderful stay, the only disappointing thing was we only stayed one night. Next time it’s going to be a few. Thank you again for a fantastic experience with B&Bs 

Best B&B we have had the pleasure of 

Helena was the perfect hostess when we finally arrived ( we had caused much stress ) , but immediately put us at ease by offering a drink and showing us our room and all the extras available which we unfortunately be unable to use as only there for one night.
Had a couple of chats and had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning to see us on our way.
In a nice quiet spot and a short walk to the hotel where you can get an excellent meal.

A good host, summarizes why B & B's are so good.

For those who require a break from dodging B-Doubles between Adelaide,  Melbourne or Mt Gambier,( or alternatively visiting friends in Keith) then take the opportunity to experience and enjoy Gaerwood Bed and Breakfast.

Located on the peaceful southern edge of Keith, the beautiful home is set amongst a picturesque country landscape with divine views from many of its windows.

We were fortunate enough to enjoy the Spa room with a pristine King Size bed. It had a roomy ensuite with a private shower and spa ; and a mini fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities.
All tastefully decorated with elegant curtains,  Sheridan towels , quality linen and soft new carpets.

The hosts, Helena and Rowland, proudly welcome guests into their home with genuine warmth.

The breakfast is impeccably provided; with fresh fruits, choices of cereals (including muesli) , yoghurt, juice ,tea or coffee and a delectable hot selection if required.

The nearby Keith Hotel provides good pub meals for dinner. 

Gaerwood Bed and Breakfast was a most enjoyable overnight stay. Definitely 5 star! 



5 Star Excellence a Shining Star of Keith

We stayed at Gaerwood B&B on the last night of our family trip to Uluru. It couldn't have ended better, with Gaerwood being fitted out with the most comfortable bedding...., and general comforts. It was really more than a B&B. The only disappointment was that we had read all the amazing reviews that mentioned champagne on arrival which we were sooooo looking forward to but didn't receive for some reason. It would have topped everything else off just perfectly.

Excellent way to end a trip

Gaerwood Bed and Breakfast is a home away from home. The room was very comfortable and amenities including en-suite and air-conditioning were more than adequate. However the most outstanding feature of this accommodation was the wonderful and very hospitable hosts Helena and Rowland. We stayed 2 nights and from the moment we arrived until it was time to leave we felt very relaxed and accommodated. From unexpected, but definitely not unappreciated, wine on arrival to the offer of coffee on return from a big day out we could not have felt more comfortable and indulged.

Fantastic hosts and fabulous experience.

Wonderful host! Helena couldn't do any more for her guests- she is a gem.

Very comfortable and wonderful place to stay

After driving for many hours, to find such a kind and welcoming hostess as Helenea was a delight. My room was very clean along with being quiet and restful. I felt as if I had made a friend after spending the night and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this lovely B & B

Overnight 

Very friendly welcome with wine and cheese plate - a nice clean tidy spacious room, with excellent facilities.  Excellent hospitality from friendly hosts.  Highly recommend this destination for its quiet location with close access to pubs and sporting facilities.

Visited over 2 nights for Jetboat racing event

The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful & provided a welcome pack of cheese, bikkies & small wine on arrival (totally unexpected but much appreciated after a long day's drive). The bed was very comfortable and the room had a dressing table & wardrobe. Good sized ensuite. Free WiFi & continental breakfast are provided & a cooked breakfast can be arranged (extra charge). We arrived after dark so the business sign was hard to see with no lighting. Free onsite parking provided.
