My sister and I stayed for a night. We found the room to be incredibly spacious. Yes, it's old and dated, but it's clean and comfortable. We were informed prior to arrival that it was a budget motel and that river water was used with tank water for drinking. We were told again upon check-in, and told also about the jug of drinking water ready for us in the fridge. We were very pleased with the location, out the back near the pool and the Murray. We didn't use the pool in the end as a cool breeze came in and cooled us and the room very quickly. Walked by the river, watched jetskis and kids on inflatables towed behind powerboats. Very quiet at night and comfortable beds; we both slept well.

Only downer was that my sister showered, knowing it was river water, but she didn't feel clean. Oh, well.

We stayed for the weekend, quiet and out of town, about 4 km out of town, dont expect four star amenities, They cater for the budget end of the market and large groups. the  units are aged but clean and comfortable, the pool was great on the hot afternoons

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the River Village Holiday Units. Kim and her husband are extremely friendly and approachable.  I found the unit we had met all our needs and expectations and when our car broke down, the owner Kim was fantastic even offering to drive us to town when we couldn't get a taxi.   I couldn't be happier with the service and excellent accommodations on offer at the River Village Motel and Holiday Units.

I highly recommend this local for anyone deciding to go the the Murray for some great fishing and a relaxing quiet time.

Fantastic service and great owners

Sub-standard accommodation in the middle of nowhere - checked-in to find un-vaccumed carpets, greasy dishes in the cupboards, no quilt covers on the quilts (on the beds), rodent faeces on the bathroom walls and the most uncomfortable beds you can imagine. 

The owner Kim, was very defensive and didn't want to listen or accept the feedback - she put it all back on us and denied the issues raised. She also neglected to advise us and/ or have clear signage in our rooms that the tap water was NOT drinkable and we (I am 7 months pregnant, my fiance & 2 yr old daughter) all drank that disgusting, acrid water during the 1st 24 hours we were there, until our family happened to enlighten us otherwise. We all had an adverse reaction to the poor water quality and was concerned it may affect my pregnancy also. Bottom line is - find a holiday group rental instead! For the $160 per night (2 bedroom) and $133 per night (1 bedroom) our family each paid per night, we could've rented a 4 star house and really enjoyed our NYs celebration!!! What a disappointment!!

Worst Holiday Resort Imaginable

Very family friendly nice clean units lots of space for the kids to run around , only thing didn't get good phone or Internet coverage but would recommend this place for families very nice management Tammy went out of her for us .

Lovely manger 

We've had stopovers in Echuca several times.  It's a pleasant town and all that, but we remembered it as being noisy, at least where we stayed, during the summer holiday period.  This time we chose to stay in a cabin at the River Village, a few kilometers out of town.  Good choice!  Charming and helpful manageress, comfortable accommodation, reasonable cost,  and quiet all night.
