Staying in the 2 bedroom Cottage at Bella Cosa was so cosy and comfortable on wet and windy weekend.  Being winter and a chilly weekend, we chose the front room because we could light the fire in the lounge and be warm and toasty.  There was a oil column heater in each bedroom just in case, though we didn't need it, and a reverse cycle in the dining room/kitchen to take the chill off...so overall very cosy. Such a character old cottage with gorgeous touches throughout. Everything we wanted was there, and more, a coffee machine with delicious pods, every pot pan, plate, serving dishes, even a soda stream to ensure we felt at home. A lovely hot rain shower with good pressure and I enjoyed the supplied Ecoya products. The bed was really comfortable, with a choice of pillow size/thickness/hardness.  A gorgeous Tuscan enclosed courtyard would be lovely in warmer weather and large BBQ. 
Love the combustion fire and wood supplied.  A walk through the sculpture Forrest, rugged up, was lovely.  So close to all the wineries and sights. We will be back. 

Comfortable and cosy get away to enjoy the Fleurieu

We loved our stay in “The Chapel”. The communication from the beginning was great, on arrival the key was waiting for us in a key box. The accomodation itself is so unique and has that “Mclaren Vale charm” about it. The breakfast supplied was fantastic, even gluten free bread and cereal. The pod machine coffee was some of the best coffee we had in SA - who knew pods could taste so good?!. The pool was a dream, the perfect size and area to relax after a big day of winery tastings. The bed comfy, the shower perfect. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Mclaren vale charm at its best!

I stayed in The Chapel and it was perfect. Location is great and had everything you need plus more. Gorgeous outdoor area, including pool for relaxing with a good book. Basic kitchen facilities with cooktop and microwave, bbq available for bigger cookups. I was studying so appreciated the coffee machine! 
The bed was super comfortable and the surroundings so quiet. 
Option of breakfast provisions or a bottle of wine, it’s the little things that make this place an excellent option. 
A great place with excellent service for solo traveller or couples.

Cute, charming and peaceful

The property is conveniently located in the middle of wineries. Donna was lovely and sent a text with details and directions ahead of our stay. We stayed at The Gallery. A warm, nice, relaxing and cosy place to be with the fireplace on a cold day. There was a lot privacy. Loved the bathroom, especially the bath with a view to the Forrest. The place is also very functional and we loved sitting outside on the lounge to watch the sunset. Its a very clean place and included sufficient food for breakfast. We will definitely be back ! 😊

Charming place in the heart of McLaren Vale 

How has this place has received the negative reviews it did!? The place has a lovely vibe to it and it looks even better than the photos!!! The bathroom is stunning and makes you wanna sip a glass of wine whilst relaxing in the bath and the showers... soooo nice with a full range of bathroom supplies including bath salts. Oh and the breakfast!!! Hands down the best bed and breakfast. I am recommending this for anyone who stays at McLaren Vale and will be coaxing my family and friends into staying here!! Also there is a bike hire only 6mins drive away if you’re planning on doing a diy wine tour on a bike. What more could you want in my books!!!

The only thing is we arrived late and night and got scared by that statue outside, so to anyone else who arrives late, there is a statue, not a person staring at you from the dark Forrest. 

Overall, I absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back in the future.

What a place!! Absolutely stunning and amazing breakfast

We stayed in The Chapel at Bella Cosa which is one of three available options and it is fantastic.  It's a beautiful little place with fantastic facilities including a pool.  The provisions provided for breakfast were top class.  The bed was super comfortable which is always appreciated.  We could have easily stayed here much longer.  The location is also very handy to everything in the McLaren Vale region.

A magnificent stay

A magnificent b and b.  'The Chapel' revered itself for us.  A touch of Tuscany, hint of christendom and maybe even Easter Island.  Even a private forest to explore.  Ultra modern furnishings with a tweak here and there of rustic charm.  Bright and light during the day; complete block out at night.  All mod cons and more; sensational breakfast provisions beautifully presented.  Well equipped kitchen.  The bedroom is on the mezzanine overlooking ethereal stained glassed windows with a sympathetic centrally located coach light suspended from the ceiling.  Welcoming entrance; even more welcoming pool with accompanying undercover lounges, bbq and exotic decor.  The pool was warm and the water as soft as the sheets on the super comfy bed.  Luxury, well appointed  bathroom with massive shower rose and huge fluffy bath sheets.  Everything you could imagine is well catered for. We couldn't locate the switch for the ceiling fan which was on for our arrival, and the whirring kept me awake a tad. (We found the switch in the morning!)  Being on a main road I found the traffic inhibited my (usually light) sleep; one or two areas needed a dust, but these were slight niggles that wouldn't stop us returning. Its impossible to spend only one night here.

You won't want to leave

Lovely Stay - provisions provided were plentiful - property close to main shopping centre, Restaurants and Wineries - we recommend this property. The only complaint would have should have curtains on the front door windows for privacy.

Fabulous

The Gallery was really lovely, very well appointed and great breakfast provisions, everything you need has been thought of. Clean and well decorated inside, my only improvements would be the outside needs the garden beds finished and the surrounding garden is a little scrappy but overall the patio was lovely to sit on in the afternoon sun. Although there was a lot of wasps around! and the patio ceiling sheets need a good wash as they are mouldy but I'm just being picky otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Relaxing getaway

Great location, lovely accommodation however everything had to be washed before using. Opened jars of condiments (no individual serves), which is not ideal in the first place, were months out of date and cereal in canisters had you wondering how long it had been there. 
Heading in the right direction but needs more work. Previous reviews have obviously not been acted on.
