Kite-Inn

Wanted to spend a week kiting Boca and Grapefield beaches, just a 5 mins drive from Kite-Inn. I twas great winds, with great kiting. 

Kite-Inn was a great spot to rest and feel at home. The room was like a whole apt, with a kitchenette, bathroom, comfortable king size bed, and A/C. I got to spread out, watch some TV, and sleep in when I wanted to. And Arnonld was an amazing host. He was prompt to respond on WhatsApp, gave me directions when I needed them, and shared some basics about the kiting spots.

Great stay, am looking forward to going back, soon.

Just got home from a kite week in Aruba. We wanted to be near Boca Grandi and Arnold’s apartments are as close as you can get.  The place is perfect for kiters looking for a clean comfortable accommodation within a 5 min drive from the best kiting on the island.  The beds were great, nice sheets and towels, basic functional kitchen, good wifi, tons of area to rinse and dry kites, peace and quiet.  A car is required and Arnold arranged that for us too. Kited everyday on 6-12m kites, amazing wind, fun waves and surf, beautiful sand and clear warm water.  Good snorkeling to be had between sessions.  NO mosquitoes!
We kited at Fisherman’s Hut one day and enjoyed ourselves but the gusty offshore wind there is quite a contrast to Boca Grandi.  Be sure and check in with the kite schools before your sessions at Fisherman’s for boat support, just in case. 

if you read this, chances are you are a kite boarder and you are looking to stay close to the best kite beach on the island. Good news, you found the right place. When I was there, all rooms where booked with like-minded kiters. We all kited together and had breakfasts and dinner in the common court yard at the kite-in. The place is sparkling clean and has everything you need for a kite vacation. If you want to explore the island this is also a great place to stay for much less that on the east side of Aruba. Special bonus is that Arnold, the host, is super nice and has lots of advise. I highly recommend this condo and for the price I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Just returned to Turks & Caicos (home) after an awesome week of kitesurfing at Boca Grandi and staying at Kite-Inn. First off kiting at Boca Grandi is a real treat for any kitesurfer. No crowds, great side-onshore wind and nice rolling waves with space between them for picking up speed and kicking off some great ramps.

Kite-Inn is just 5 min away by car and is an ideal place to stay for a kiting trip. Clean, comfortable rooms with lots of space to rinse and store your gear after a day of kiting. By far the best part of my stay of this inn was meeting the owner Arnold! He is an avid kiter and an all around great guy. Had a wonderful dinner with him and also shared some great water time with him at both Boca Grandi and one Sunday morning at the Fisherman' Huts....my favourite hands down for kiting in Aruba however is Boca Grandi...which is why I highly recommend the Kite-Inn. I also met some real cool kiteboarder on beach and at the inn for hanging out after each day for dinner and drinks.  Just book your stay here, rent a car (Arnold can set this up for you too) and do it!

The Kite Inn is a no messing around place to stay if you are in Aruba to kite Boca Grande.  The rooms have everything you need and are clean and nicely redone.  The Kite 'Inn is not fancy in fact like everything in the south you are truly in the middle of nowhere.  I would consider the stay Glamour Camping.  For us we are there to kite in the morning and until sunset so it worked perfectly.  Arnold the owner is the best.  He is friendly and helpful, even lent us his kitesurf board.  He was quick to respond to any and every question and request.  The place is not luxury by any stretch but its great value.

Kite-Inn is THE Place to Stay for Kiting Boca Grandi

Kite-Inn is the Best if you are there to Kite Boca Grande!

Let me start with the positives...

- Close to Boca Grandi, which is very convenient 
- Cheap!
- Very Quiet and Small! Only 4 rooms.
- Nice people
- Lots of room to rinse gear and let things dry
- Friendly house dog and cats
- Decent Internet

I really would love to love this place and go back, but it could use several upgrades before I/we would return. Wives or girlfriends who don’t kite will not like it very much. Great potential guys trip if not so run down. I think many of the kite clients would pay a little more for some extra amenities like:

- Hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sinks for example. Only hot water is in the shower.
- AC in the living room - currently only in the bedroom
- New outside lounge furniture that is not also dog/cat bedding. 
- Remove all old junk outdoor kitchen equipment and pigeons
- A TV newer than 20 years old
- More than two towels for the week

In general Kite Inn needs a lot of upgrading all around. It has a lot of potential. They would certainly have to charge more, but I’m sure the improvements would more than pay for themselves by much higher occupancy rates. But maybe that’s not want they want...
