NOTE: I DID NOT STAY AT THE GUEST HOUSE. I was staying at a nearby resort which was lovely but the beach bar menu, prices  and service was all to get her dissapointing. Found the Kim Lien restaurant looking for cheap beer for the bungalow 3 mins away and ate nearly every meal there when we were around our resort. A short menu with some nice pastas, amazing tempuras, and near street cart prices for a lot of basic items and drinks. If you are staying at Coral or Jojo resort do yourself and your pocket book a favor and check it out. 

Amazimg Value Restaurant 

I have stayed at this guest house a number of times. It is a small family operated guest house. Rooms available with air con or without. Because of it being so close to the ocean and very well shaded with trees air con is not required in my opinion. 

The family and hired staff are great. It is located only 50 m from the beach with access thru at least three beach bars. Generally you would pay a lot more to be this close to the beach with access. It is located in Alley 118 off Tran Hung Dao. One of the few such old locales still existing. There is a wide choice of restaurants, the better ones being small family run places, great seafood at far better prices than on main road. 

Good value for the location

The price was right for us at this guesthouse as we are backpacking and therefore do not have the budget to stay in some of the larger resorts on the beach. Having said that, we feel like the location was fantastic. We were situated right behind Rory's bar which meant a 2 minute walk through the establishment to get to the water. The other major upside to the location is that there is a public beach area right beside the restaurants frontage. There is something to be said for this as public beach space seems to be virtually non existent unless you want to pay a resort for a lounger on their property. Room was clean with a mosquito net and wifi was good. We enjoyed our little porch outside in the shade when we needed a break from the sun and had a "7 Juice" shake for breakfast every morning!. The owner booked us our cab back to the port when we wanted to leave.

Cute bungalows close to public area on the beach

I looked hard and this seems to be the best value for the money within walking distance of the beach. Only about 100 m down a paved road to Rory's bar and beach can be accessed there. Rory's is an excellent beach bar and loungers and beach chairs are available for customers. Otherwise the beach is public by law so don't believe anyone telling you the beach in front of their resort is private unless it's 50 m from the water. 
The hotel is well run by a very nice family who do their best to look after you. They have either A/C or fan bungalows that are very quiet, peaceful and safe. During my visit some Russian tourists with kids found that their kids almost became part of the owners family they were so well accepted. Bungalows are roomy, I've got a 3 m long paddle board in mine and still lots of room. Lots of restaurants within a few hundred meters

Good value for the money

This is a nice family run place with 8 bungalows. All bungalows are very nice and the daughters in this family do absolutely all they can to make your stay perfect. They dont serve food but they are conected to a very nice resturant.I stay here 6 nights.I go to beach everyday, never need shoes or slippers.

Almost on the beach

We had a pleasant stay at this place. Clean room, clean bathroom, hot water, 2 clean towels everyday, soft mattress, powerful aircon, free strong wifi signal. It's near the beach, and near other restaurants, bars and shops. It took us a minute to the beach, 3 minutes to the main rod. For the price we paid, it’s totally worth it. 

The owners were helpful. We rented their bike and it broke down on the way to a beach. We called them and after 20 mins like they said, they drove another bike to where we waited and we carried on.

Overall, it’s not as bad as I was afraid from the previous reviews. I would stay here again next time.

Pleasant stay

The location was very close to the beach (<5mins) and that is really what you are paying for. The accommodation is very basic. Our bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned as the bin was half full and there was an empty shampoo sachet sitting in the sink and a used soap. We stayed three nights and the cleaner did come once and changed our sheets and towels. The electricity did go out on two occasions, on one occasion it did last several hrs. In the morning from 7am construction workers begin right beside the bungalows which may be disturbing if you want a lie in.
