It has taken me an unconscionably long time to write this review, but that was not because I had to think twice about recommending the Thang Long. Being a large hotel the Thang Long perhaps lacks the intimate atmosphere found in smaller establishments, but in every other way it is excellent: friendly staff, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with large bathrooms, convenient location. The $12 room rate (double bed) does not include breakfast but the latter is available at low cost in the ground-floor restaurant. For budget accommodation this hotel is truly excellent and I have no qualms about recommending it.
