We stayed at The Haven for 4 nights. While we were there we ate every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner at Big Tree. Every meal we had was great. All the meals I had were Vietnamese cuisine but my family had lots of the western offerings like, pizza, pasta and burgers which always looked great too. I stole quite a few pieces of pizza from my daughter and they were particularly good.

Food was great

We were so looking forward to coming here for the beautiful location but that’s about where it ended.
Our meals were terrible!!!
We got the Spaghetti bolognese, chicken wings, pork and steak and unfortunately they were all terrible! The steak was inedible, pure hard fat and no meat and had a butter knife to cut it up which was impossible. 
Service was not the best, had to go up to order on twice as we could not get their attention even thou it was so quiet. 
Location is amazing which is why I gave 2 stars.
Would not return.

Beautiful location but food was awful!

A little tricky to get to through Bai Xep, unless you're approaching from the beach at low tide, but a lovely picturesque spot. They had their wood fired oven ready when we were there, so it seemed rude not to try the pizza. A fabulous, delicious choice! 

Worth the meander

I went there with 2 friends for a long weekend. We stayed there for 4 days (Haven Hotel) in bright, spacious and clean rooms. The Big Tree bistro is a lovely spot with great quality of food (both Western and local). Cocktails are very nice and made of good quality spirits and fresh ingredients. The view is to die for (literally on the beach 😍). Special thanks to both Julie and Dan for making our stay incredible from breakfast to late-night drinks!

Fantastic place on the beach 

We came here repeated times for the beauty of the location. You cannot swim directly outside the restaurant as there is too much plastic in the sea. The cocktails were lovely and the food was ok. The staff were friendly, however do not expect waiter to table service or you will be waiting along time, that’s the big improvement they can make customer service. We sat for over 30mins and no one approached us so we had to go up to the bar every time we wanted a drink or to order or we would be waiting all day. Apart from this is a stunning place, the restaurant is nice, could do with some cushions on the chairs as we left we a numb bum :)

Perfect location to eat and drink and watch the sea roll into a little cove

Had a great meal with wonderful staff who were able to accommodate us (and our vegan diet) perfectly. Really fast service too! Probably one of the best pizzas we’ve had here in Vietnam (even without cheese it was still really really great!). Pricing is as you would expect to be sitting next to the ocean and the food matched the price well. Loved the choice of craft beers and next time we will stay! 

Quy nhon city is pretty void of western style places to eat and relax, so if you’re in the Bai Xep area it’s probably the best spot to get a western style dining experience! 

10/10 will recommend.

Only ate here! But sooo worth it!

The pizza came out luke warm. It also had carrots and onions in the base sauce which I found off putting and unappetizing. Not a great size considering the price and the price has also went up compared to the pictures of the menu online. Would not recommend.

Having stayed in Quy Nhon for the past week or so, I was informed of a beach sided eatery that served the best Fish and Chips this side of Grimsby. Off I trundled to this fantastic location, the most friendly staff and outstanding Vietnamese take on good old Blighty’s fish and chips. Even got a side order of homemade tartare sauce. I’ve now worked my way through the entire menu and I’m yet to be disappointed by any of the dishes. Well done all concerned. Can’t recommend it enough.

Best restaurant at Bai Xep. The green mango salad was delicious and so was the Banh Xeo. They fire up the wood fire oven for great pizza too. Atmosphere is just right. We ate here the whole time. It is great for families with fussy eaters with a number of western dishes done well. The Vietnamese food is delicious.

Great food

We ate here a few times whilst staying in Bai Xep. Food (local and western) was always well cooked, colourful and tasty. Great area to eat, overlooking the beach and sea. You could stay all day. The prices are a little more than we had been paying elsewhere so far in Vietnam, but the food quality and portions made you feel you got your money's worth. The food and drink service from everyone was great.
