19 reviewsMy wife and I stayed at Salvo Suites during our honeymoon and had a great experience from the get-go! We landed at Carrasco International Airport at 0700 and the manager of Salvo Suites, Nanette, allowed us to check in early and even sent a driver to pick us up. This great customer service allowed us to be in our hotel by 0800, grab a quick nap, and get an excellent start to our trip! Salvo Suites is not a hotel per se; rather it is a set of apartment-style units located in the Palacio Salvo (formerly the tallest building in South America) that are rented out to travelers. This means that it is larger than your average hotel room. Our unit had a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and an awesome shower unit! The Suites are located on Plaza Independencia and this allows you quick access to the coolest parts of the city, including the Rambla and Ciudad Vieja. I would highly recommend Salvo Suites to anyone traveling to Montevideo that wants a nice place to stay but isn't looking to break the bank.
