got to this hotel and before i even got into the room was approached by a man and his wife wanting to know if i wanted to have sex.  i was disgusted.  got into my room and turned the tv on only to find filthy tv shows playing.  went to change the station and that was the only station.   I said forget and decided to take a shower and go to bed.   got into the shower only to look up and see pubic hairs on the ceiling and mold on the shower curtain.  i took the fastest shower i have ever taken just to get clean and out of there.   i decided to go to sleep and was woken up every half hour by a train whistle.  i would never recommend this hotel to anyone that was traveling in this area.

never ever book here

I stayed here one night after I was stranded in town. The rooms were nice and clean, but it was so noisy outside with children running around at night and the parents just talking so loud. The front desk didn’t do anything about it after i did complain and he was a little rude. Would I stay again? No.

i work for a construction company and the roofer stay last week , we were not happy, rooms are not clean enough, sketchy area, i will not make the boys stay here again they'd rather have to drive alttle then have to stay there again. sorry

Was very decent for the price.friendly staff no need for coffee or snacks as every thing was in walking distance from the motel.what I enjoyed most was the fact that it was very quiet at all hours of the day.i would definitely come back time and time again.other than the occasional train passing by it was rather peaceful.roadway inn Modesto CA,I give two thumbs up.

Regarding roadway inn

I reserved this hotel online and when we arrived, the clerk said that she could not find my reservation and proceeded to show me the reservation for other guests. Eventually I was able to show her the email confirmation of my reservation and she finally found my reservation. 

The room that was offered to us is unacceptable. I took the room because it was late and I was tired from driving all day and didn't want to start looking for another hotel. As soon as I walked into the room, I was buzzed by flies. The room was shabby and seriously needed to be renovated. The furniture and bedding and the towels looked like they could have been purchased from a thrift store. There was no coffee service (which all other hotels on our trip that charged about the same price had)  Nor was breakfast provided.

Shampoo was not in the bathroom and we had to go ask the clerk for it. The remote control for the TV was not in the room and we also had to go ask for one. There was garbage piled up on the side of the parking lot.

The two beds took up most of the room and one of the beds was right outside the bathroom and I needed to squeeze by the bed to get into it. The bathroom was looked like it was of the 1950 vintage. There was no hook anywhere in the room to hang our clothes nor was there a closet. I spotted a cockroach crawling on the ceiling.

The only thing that worked well was the wifi that was reasonable strong.

I feel that the owner of the hotel should invest in it if he/she wants to remain in business. He/she did not show any pride in the hotel.

Don't stay here

This is a five star stay for the price, if you stay in newly remodeled room.  Andy, proprietor, is busy at remodeling most rooms.  My room was #120, bed and pillows good, floor clean and bathroom remodeled.   Why spend another hour or two on the road when you can rest here for less than it cost to get a meal at Denny's.  Get off the highway, turn the indoor air conditioner up and relax.  Also, it was literally 106 degress outside, but I got the room to cool down to 75.

Andy is the best part of The Place

The office door is always locked.  If you need help you are out of luck.  There is no food or coffee for breakfast if someone lets you in the office.  Breakfast was promised between 7:30 and 9;30.  The room was disgusting with holes in the curtains.We slept in our clothes because we did not know how clean the sheets were. We could not get the door to open in the morning.  It was stuck.  The area is a bad area and shady people all around.  That is why the office door is always locked!  We were on vacation and our vehicle broke down and had to be towed to the closest Chevrolet dealership.  So the Chevrolet roadside assistance booked us a room for the night and this is what we got. We were already stressed out because I vehicle broke down and then to put us in this disgusting motel was unbelievable.  We were so glad when the taxi came the next morning and picked us up.  I think Choice Motels need to check their motels and make sure they are up to their standards. This motel is dirty, bug ridden, disgusting, not safe, and lies about having food and coffee available for breakfast. Also, the walls are paper thin and so you hear everything that goes on in the rooms next to you.
