We booked on the morning of our visit, we’re welcomed by a friendly woman, we were surprised by the value for money, given that some meals were cheaper than a sandwich at another pub we recently visited. The food was great, good portions and they were happy to accomodate a few additions. The Chef was so pleasant, chatted to the table a few ones through our meal and made us all feel very welcome. My parents have just moved to the village and this will definitely be a favourite to visit in the future!

Saturday Lunch for 10

A lovely pub with welcoming members of staff, especially Nico. We had a bad experience from another pub down the road and it was really nice feel welcomed by The unicorn. If you are visiting Somerton, I would highly recommend this pub for your choice as a non bias pub with friendly locals. Nico your customer service was exceptional and you are an asset to The Unicorn! Thanks again.

Very welcoming and non bias to non locals

We hadn't visited The Unicorn for some years but booked a Sunday Lunch and couldn't find any fault with it.

Excellent service from all of the staff and our party enjoyed their respective meals they'd chosen. 

Good sized portions too, so we'll be back.

Fantastic Sunday lunch

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Unicorn hotel and all the staff, in particular the chef, for a really lovely Sunday roast. We had a family party weekend, and it was so nice to have a delicious Sunday lunch cooked for us before they all headed for home. The welcome was warm, the surroundings were lovely and the staff who waited on table were friendly efficient and very quick. The cost was reasonable and it made a lovely end to a busy weekend.

A lovely experience

I’m almost never bother to write reviews. But these guys took an impromptu booking at 22.30 and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From letting us sample different drinks, to running around looking to try and purchase us toothbrushes.

If the manager and the staff worked for me, I’d make sure they all had pay rises, as service like this is genuine and incredibly rare

Unbelievably friendly service and way and above what is expected

Met work colleagues to go through some usual boring numbers. But spent more time interacting with the friendly staff. Rio behind the bar was great and had my order sorted before I got to the bar, excellent service.

Friendly staff

Haven't been over for a few years and so pleased we decided to at the Weekend. Had a really craking time! Big shout out to the blond barman!! Rio? Amazing services. Great food will be back again soon.

Night out

Always good food friendly staff and the music nights always bring in a great crowd , keep up the good work and well done to the bar staff Rio for fast and amazing service loving the shots 🥳 
Takes away meal is also a brilliant idea for those who want a excellent pub meal at home x

Great Pub

After our family dog walks we love to pop into The Unicorn on a Sunday for a roast as its so local and we love to get time together making memories! The parking is great for getting the children in and out! I was all set up for an evening of reading and a week back to work cutting hair after our most enjoyable experience at the local. Thank you to Charley for your fast customer service!

Great pub and SO accommodating!

Came to the unicorn for some food and a couple of drinks the food was absolutely amazing! Charley was amazing and told us different things we could do around the area and what was good on the menu will definitely be back!
