Friendly staff on arrival. Checked in with no issues, rooms were clean and spacious, beds comfy, small beer garden area with lots of chairs and tables, good selection of drinks at the bar. Had a great stay overall.

Stayed after a wedding at Warwick Castle

This stay was to meet up with family, we were accommodated in the ground floor rooms, just off the car park, leading into a small beer garden. This was perfect for us as it meant we could put our little one to bed and sit outside enjoying the nice weather,  knowing we would hear him.

Breakfast was great value and very tasty, and the staff could not do enough to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. They succeeded. 

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel was in an amazing location for the centre. 

We would stay here again when we next visit Warwick.

Family stay with 11 month old.

A lovely welcome from the lady who checked us in early. She was very friendly and offered us suggestions on where we could visit offered directions to the town and information about Sainsbury.
Our room was clean with an en-suite shower room, the sink is in the room but not an issue for us. The bed was comfortable and sturdy which was nice considering some places we’ve stayed 
The location is good a short walk to the town centre and on site parking 
Easy to find too
All in all a good place at a decent price

A good place at a good price and a good location

We had booked a room here before we read the reviews so were a bit unsure what to expect! However, the reviews are all from nearly a year ago and the place has greatly improved. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely done. It’s basic but has everything you need. Staff here are absolutely lovely. Car park is small but we got in okay. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great but that’s the only niggle. Will definitely be staying here again for future visits to Warwick.

Ignore all these terrible reviews - this place is great!

We stayed at the Black Horse Inn for one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was really nice, I think it was recently redecorated, with a King size bed, which was very comfortable with fluffy pillows and good quality duvet. We were able to make our own tea and coffee in the room and watch TV. The bathroom was adequate with a toilet and shower, the basin was in the main room. There was plenty of draws space and a wardrobe. The following morning we had a full English Breakfast, which was very good and set us up for the day. If you want somewhere close to the centre of town and have a moderate budget, then the Black Horse Inn is an ideal place to stay. We do not have a car, so I cannot give a review on the car park, but will say it is small.

Enjoyed our overnight stay.

Looks like recently refubished (during lockdown ?), so all clean & tidy. Fresh paint, new carpets.  
I was in a room up the top - perfectly functional.   
Loved the large tea cups (I loathe those silly tiny tea cups where you need about 3 to have a good cuppa!).  
Free parking.

Great location for exploring Warwick

We stayed here 1 night as were attending a show at the castle 
Posotives are ..5 mins walk to the town 
Probably around £40 cheaper then town hotels 
£70 a night stay

We arrived around 11am and we parked in the car park however the pub itself was closed and everydoor shut .no signs as what to do but we saw a sign about clamping and that worried us ,so we tried several times ringing but no answer at all , so we ended up emailing them to let them know we'd parked there . Check in was 3pm but we wanted to make the most of the day as only had 24 hrs 

We went off exploring and returned around 3.30pm the pub was open and we got a drink and checked in ,friendly enough owners and the pub was old but quaint ,unfortunately one corner had all the laundry in from the rooms ,not a good look really , we were took to the room and he said the door sticks so give it a good shove 😅
Upon first impression the room seemed OK, had a small fusty smell but typical off a old building, nice big bed and black furniture, seemed clean but that soon quickly diminished, 
The bathroom 😖 had toilet paper in the bowel ,
The shower had filthy grouting and the ceiling was a black colour , 
Sink next to bed in main room , upon opening the closet the smell hit you in the face damp fusty ,you wouldn't put your clothes in there if staying longer ,this was clearly the smell emanating into the room .

Was shocked to see the bed had a stained pillowcase on as did the duvet ,leading me to believe it had not been changed since the previous guests 😳,  put me off sleeping in it really 
Stains on the wall and in a poor condition 
We only had a hour to change before the show so we went to close the window they had opened but to my shock the main handle was snapped in two ,the only way i could shut it was to lodge it shut with the sill handle ,not good for security though 
Needless to say we didn't leave anything in the room .

Notified the owner about it .

Breakfast was a additional £7.99 Needless to say we declined after what we had seen .

Quiet nights sleep but at 7am the bumping and banging from upstairs awoke us as it sounded like a herd of elephant had come through,  

This place needs a serious refurbishment and the owners need to understand that changing the bedding needs to happen every guest that is in ,

A Shame really as could be so much nicer 
We got the impression it was like a hostel with several people seemingly staying there permanently.

Not the worst we stayed in but definitely needs improvement

To be honest it's a mixed bag! The downsides are: thin curtains with an incredibly wonky rail, two tiny tea cups and very few tea bags, no biscuits. No hooks in bathroom, only one chair (to be fair it was a nice swivel one though), no rugs by the beds, very thin duvets. The kettle could not be filled directly as there was not enough room between sink and tap. 
The upsides are: spotlessly clean, freshly decorated, nice staff generally (although the initial encounter was by a woman who wouldn't know a smile if it bit her), fantastic location very close to the town centre, free parking, fluffy towels, secure room.  Our toddler loved the 2 tiny goldfish in the bar. 
Also, the town itself is gorgeous, we were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday and the market is wonderful. There are lots of independent shops, great pubs, a huge park with a glorious children's playground. mini and crazy golf and a boating lake with pedaloes, canoes and paddleboards. The castle is splendid too of course! 
So, we would definitely stay in the Black Horse again but would take a couple of normal sized mugs and a few more tea bags. The other stuff was just quite funny!!

Family stay with toddler

Take all the previous reviews with a pinch of salt, for £67 including breakfast, I can’t complain. True room 9 is small, it’s a single,  but it’s clean, the toilet and sink work, and it was somewhere to rest my head for one night. I could see parking was going to be a problem in the small car park so parked ready to leave at the front. Breakfast was quite good, sausage egg beans and mushrooms, toast coffee and juice . I was here for a reunion and didn’t want to spend twice this amount. Sometimes people need to make allowances. :)

It’s vfm to be honest

Stayed for two nights great location for town centre but that’s all. Shower head leaking then fell off Very basic accommodation. If you go try to get a room downstairs as the stair are steep metal and very slippery with very little lighting.  Very dangerous. Certainly didn’t fancy breakfast there.  Wash basin in bedroom and kettle didn’t fit under tap to fill up.
