Really enjoyed being at Lyndon house bedroom was lovely bed was comfortable staff Wer friendly ,however I don’t recommend staying in room 220 as this was ours it’s right next to the laundry room and staff are in and out early the door kept banging and woke us earlier than we of wanted 
We met some friends who we hadn’t seen for many years as they wer down for the weekend even though there is a strict over 18 only they allowed our friends 16 old to sit with us and watch the football but even after drinking there and eating we were told that we couldn’t enter the bar on the Saturday night because my wife was wearing a baseball cap this put a dampener on our night

Lyndon house

If you want a sound night's sleep the Lyndon Hotel is not the place to stay. Very loud and rowdy group of people hanging around outside the rooms kept us awake from 3am-7am.  Rang reception twice to complain, no one answered. Reported the issue in the morning, to no avail. Also another couple were complaining about the same issue but the staff just were not interested. Didn't  get to try the breakfast unfortunately, as we were was so tired we just wanted to get home and get some sleep. Terrible night's stay. Expect much better for £80 per night.

Terrible nights stay, poor customer service.

Went to the lyndon for a carvery with 7 freinds and it's well worth a visit could not fault the food top jolly hot fresh and home cooked and there not shy with the meats ither Kelly is a great acept to the reastraunt very helpful and they all polite well manerd and have a smile to so we will be returning for sure and for £15 for 2 courses worth every penny well done to you all at team lyndon

Stayed here early December while visiting family.
What a lovely friendly place.
With a very busy bar.
Check in was quick.
Had lunch in the bar, good food at reasonable price.
Had a drink in evening after we came back in and drinks were very reasonable.
Room was clean, with TV, plenty of coffee/tea. Liquid soap for sink and bath which were nice, nice big bath .
Breakfast was good with cereal/coffee/juice/fruit.
Full breakfast and toast.
Staff were lovely- very friendly and helpful- we had car issues and while waiting for AA they said to go back in and they put fire on for us in the bar , before bar was due to open.
My only down side was the kitchen extractor fan was noise woke me when it went on in the morning and smell came into room a bit.
Would definitely stay again

Lovely friendly place

This is our second visit this year and same again had a great stay but unfortunately we stayed in the main hotel this time instead of a external room which was a little noisy with road noise and people passing in the corridor late at night so not a great couple of night sleep 

Great stay and staff

After checking online to see if i can take my 4 month old and seeing that children were welcome I was treated appallingly by a member.of staff. No where on the website does it say children are not welcome. I was approcached by a barmaid who told me ' No under 18s in the bar' i have never been before and was not told there was anywhere else we could sit.  My mom was seeing friends for Christmas so before i left i wanted to get her a drink. She is disabled and walks with an aid so cannot carry a drink herself. Upon being served at the bar the same barmaid said ' SHE has got to go' referring to my 4 month old daughter. I explained that i had to get mom a drink and she implied i was lying. Im a 33 year old mom, i understood my baby wasnt welcome but that is absolutely no way to treat people. Seriously needs to find some manners.

Children not welcome and staff are rude

Our 'go to' venue for all occasions,a few beer & lunch..Lyndon has it covered,great drinks selection,friendly team,lunch and evening  menu. All you need for a weekend treat,comfy traditional rooms with all mod cons,plus most weekends there some entertainment from singers,tribute acts and karaoke.Theres even a events room/conservatory with gardens which are a hidden oasis in the summer!
We highly recommend a visit!

Great weekend!

Lovely quirky hotel in walking distance from Walsall Town center, been past for years as my hometown is in the area (Burntwood) visiting family and not wanting to take another 3hr trip to get back to Manchester in one day booked here was very cheap (around £65-75) brekki was included, our room was like a medieval castle, mahogany paneling on the walls brickwork and tudoresque ceiling, definitely an old building, but yeah the pub was a joining and gave like old school pub vibes with the little nick naks on the walls and ceiling, cheap drinks! (£7-8 for a cider and a beer) overall great sleep, great brekkie and definitely would stay here again.

One thing I will say is the bathroom is very dated and looks like it needs a thorough deep clean, but that's the only negative I'd say. 

Lovely one night stay

Have stayed at this hotel for over 10 years. Since the death of previous owner Ken standards are abmissmal. This establishment owners need to decide whether paying hotel guests are actually welcome. Our room was not serviced for 3 days. Kelly hotel manager when she is in charge of breakfast uses the previous days pre cooked sausages. Cutting corners!! Cigarette butts left outside our room whuch we had to ask to be cleaned .   Rude bar staff who di not want guests over locals in what they perceive their bar! Truly shocking service from Tracey and Kelly

Cannot say a bad word about this lovely place. We have passed it on many occasions but never been inside. 

The room, food and drink etc are very good and reasonably priced. The staff are excellent.
