Partner and I stayed for 2 nights. Customer service experience was a 10/10, super friendly and more than accommodating to anything we required. 

Breakfast was superb, range of drinks (good coffee), the full English wasn’t greasy, just the right portion size and made from local produce! Only constructive feedback on the breakfast would be to include some continental options pastries and yoghurts.

Room was warm and clean - the bathroom did the job for us but the shower and sink are slightly dated. 

All in all, really lovely and will definitely Ben returning to stay again! Thank you!

A wonderful family run bed and breakfast, within walking distance of the seafront. We were made to feel very welcome by John and Martine, they certainly were the hosts with the most. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were a happy, helpful and humourous couple. The en suite room was very clean, cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was a delight, with special dietary needs catered for. It was a joy to spend time there. Would we stay there again? Too right we would.

Best place in town.....in my opinion!

Great situation, close to the sea and town centre.  Lovely, friendly hosts;  the whole establishment was exceptionally clean.  There is a lovely lounge for guests’ use & we were told we were welcome to use the dining room in the evening if we decided to have a takeaway, and the clearing up would be done for us.  Easy to find and parking wasn’t an issue.  We would definitely return to this guest house.

Great B&B, exceptionally clean & comfortable

After a small mishap with the keys we had an absolutely wonderful stay. Very comfortable room and bed. We had a wonderful breakfast every day and John and Martine were such attentive and wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay here again. Made to feel very welcome and nothing felt like too much trouble.

Lovely stay

Have just come back from staying at the Sandhaven and I utterly recommend this lovely Guest House. I had the smallest double and it was perfect. Lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. Martine and John are wonderful hosts and really care about their guests. If there are vegetarians/vegans in your group this is a great place to stay. Martine is so thoughtful and  made sure there was oat milk for making hot drinks in my room and there was a delicious vegan full English breakfast available. I am already missing John's breakfasts. Will definitely be booking again at the Sandhaven.

The Sandhaven ticked all boxes for me 😊 Great location, room was good, breakfast very good! John and Martine very good hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I was in Swanage.

Parking is tight in front of property but, I always got a space within 5 mins walk and John even offered to pay for the parking if I didn’t. That is going the extra mile!

The Sandhaven ❤️

It’s really like coming home when we stay at the Sandhaven. Our room was immaculate and well-kept. Breakfasts are cooked to order and you never have to wait long for food to arrive! I much appreciated the extra supply of oat milk sachets; that meant a lot to me.

Another wonderful stay with John and Martine!

Sandhaven is a no frills, down to earth and honest B & B.

We stayed for 3 nights and Martine and John made us feel very welcome.

The accommodation is very clean and the room and bed were good.

The breakfast was good although  perhaps a somewhat limited choice, some fruit would have been nice?

Excellent location with a short walk to the sea and a 15 minute stroll to Swanage town.

The only issue is with the parking, which is very limited and if you are unable to find a spot this might be a bit of a problem, which is the reason why we have given only 4 stars.

Otherwise we would recommend this nice B & B.

Great B & B!

The property was clean and comfortable, smelled really fresh. Our room was compact but fully functional, as described on the booking.
Breakfast was delicious and the perfect portion sizes.
Very well located, a few minutes walk to the seafront.
John and Martine were the perfect hosts, really friendly and welcoming. 
We will definitely stay again in the future. 

Enjoyed our stay

Our stay earlier this year was very disappointing. Our room for two was only suitable for a single student. The beds far too low. A frame in a corner was our wardrobe but with no doors.  The en-suite comprised of a swinging sliding door which provided no privacy. Two small office chairs without cushions were for our relaxation. The kettle & drink facilities were left on a tray on a low stool by the door which  was hazardous.  We were asked to leave the tray outside the door each morning for replenishments. This in itself was a danger being close to the adjoining room. The hosts did not come into our room because of covide; but the excellent breakfasts were served by the hosts who did not wear face masks. This being quite a contradiction. The hosts have worked hard with Sandhaven the decor is very good and the hostess is excellent company. However BE WARNED regarding the room we had.
