Been staying here for 9 years love this caravan park Louise Rhian and Hannah are absolutely lovely Eric malachy and the rest of the staff in the bar can't do enough to help you caravan site is fantastic food in cafe is lovely caravan was lovely it's like one big family there we can't wait to come back love Tracey and linsey from the first caravan 💗💗

Booked this a week before the school holidays and was great 😊 the bronze caravan was clean and i was surprised how nice it was as i wasnt expecting much. Really great swimming pool, arcades and the customer service was great!  No entertainment on before certain days but we had a great time and so much to do!
The mermaid cafes food is amazing! My child loved the panini’s he wanted two and the owner was great and gave us a list of things we could do . Will be defo booking again!  Thank you ✌️Kerry

We stayed in a friends caravan for a few days the location of the park is ideal you can easily walk to the seafront about a 10-15 minute walk and it's right by the train station so if you don't drive you can get to the park without any fuss. We didn't use any facilities on the camp site we were just using it as a base to travel in the area but what i can make out you can purchase a pass to use them. The outside part for the kids looks lovely and i believe its brand newish not that long been done. It's a large campsite and we were in the middle its just a shame it didn't have another entrance at the back but its understandable with security i guess.

Walking distance to the sea

Really disappointed. Took my son in the hope of doing some fishing in the lake on the park, however you can’t even see the lake it’s so overgrown everywhere no fishing pegs to speak of as they’re getting overgrown. One disappointed little lad. Also the dog poo bins on the park were absolutely overflowing

this is not a bad park enjoyed a few days here only upset was when we arrived after booking a private caravan we were told to register the car to get through the barrier we were told the cost for the three days was 30 pounds this is disgusting you pay for holiday but cannot get in without paying extra lots of people felt the same will not be returning terms does not show this extra cost nor does web site so if you want to go folks check this out with trading standard

I came here for the weekend rented from a private owner can honestly say I enjoyed the holiday but the park it self wasn't all that .. not local to beach . No shop on site 15 min walk .. arcade was okay other then gettin whacked in head by moving machine

Summer

Two girl's that delt with our visit with a view to buying a static home we're very professional and really nice girl's, so much we put down a deposit £1000 , but later decided not to pursue our purchase,  had to travel back yo Rhyl from Liverpool to sign gor our deposit refund,  then waited for a few weeks only to get a cheque with my surname splet wrong   so after numerous phone calls by me but non returned from I can only say the most unprofessional disrespectable person called Sophie haywood, eventually a nice lad can't remember his name got hold of her and sorted it out,  not good customer service from Sophie haywood!!!

Some people are nice ?

Chose to come to this park in particular as it was the holiday destination of my Fiancé and his siblings when they were kids. Unfortunately they lost their parents in 2020 and we wanted a family reunion filled with nostalgia for them, with the potential of great new family memories with our children and neices and nephews. 

Originally we booked a Sun Holiday to Prestatyn Pontins as this park wanted around £400 for a weekend, which in my opinion is too much money for a caravan, especially when you're on a budget. Anyway, luck would have it, I was looking on Groupon to see if there was any activities near by to take advantage of and happened to come across a stay at Marine Park that weekend for £77 p/night. So we booked that so we could be with the family all together and sold the Sun Holiday. 

The park itself is gorgeous, really nicely decorated and feels very posh walking in where you are invited to sit rather than stand at a reception desk. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. 

The first inconvenience was the £100 holding charge/deposit. I understand why they do this but it massively inconvenienced us as we are on a tight budget as it is and not only did this mean we had to be extra careful money wise on the trip, it didnt come back into my bank until a week later. When booking this stay on Groupon we were not informed of this holding charge, but we were emailed about it after. Problem is it had to come out of our holiday spending money as bills were coming out after the trip. 

The caravan itself was well presented and extremely clean, I hope the cleaners on this site are paid very well as they do a really good job and can't be faulted. However we noticed things that we've had in every other caravan holiday were not present, such as coat hooks, clothes hangers in the wardrobe and hand/towel rail. This was frustrating as we never brought clothes hangers with us as there has always been some wherever we've stayed previously and our hand towel had nowhere to be placed in the bathroom. 

The swimming pool is lovely, nice and warm and well presented again,  opening from 9-6 . However, it is not made aware to you upon booking that the first hour its open is for owners only, and you HAVE to book in advance to go in then pool. So we had planned, quick dip at 9 and on with the day, which obviously was delayed because we aren't owners. When we did go in at 10 we were told, while we were swimming, it was time for us to get out at 1050 as we are only "allowed" 50 minutes and 10 minutes to get ready. I would have understood this if it was summer holidays/at maximum capacity with a queue out the door but this was not the case. Luckily we had only planned to stay in until 11 anyway, so the kids weren't too upset about getting out, but its really beside the point. Not to mention that no one is checking the toilets as the same mess that was on the floor on the Saturday was still There in the Sunday.

My brother in law ordered from the takeaway restaurant and he was really unimpressed by the colour and quality of the fish (see picture).

The evening entertainment... the main reason for my not so positive review... is honestly shocking. There is NO ENTERTAINMENT TEAM. Never have I ever been to a holiday park that doesn't have an entertainment team that interacts and gets to know the guests. All entertainment provided is external and frankly... bleak. 7pm is children's entertainment, as expected, there is no mascot to come and greet the children, there wasn't many games but hey ho there was something. Then 8pm-9pm there is NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No Quiz, no bingo, no mascot, no family entertainment, no get to know the entertainers... nothing at all other than your 9 o'clock entertainment setting up their speakers and set. 
At 9 o'clock the cabaret act starts which on Friday was an old guy with a dusty set and Saturday a duo who failed to really engage the audience. 
At 930, while the entertainment is actually on, the bingo tickets go on sale and at 10 o'clock the cabaret stops to play bingo. This is the most bizarre set out to stop the live entertainment when there is a whole hour (between 8-9) with nothing going on! 
People take their bingo seriously so I know they try to make the room hushed which is fine but I was completely shocked to hear the bingo caller stop midgame and scold the bar staff OVER THE MICROPHONE for standing and quietly chatting. He told them to go and do their jobs and collect glasses from the tables. Honestly it was so unprofessional and made him look a right idiot. I would have hated to work with him, I mean how rude to humiliate your coworkers like that. If he was an entertainer and had built a report with the guests of being a bit of a wind up it would have gone down differently but this was just left field and insulting to the bar staff. 
Finally, the last thing that really put this park into the "not again" category was the fact that on Sunday they cancelled ALL ENTERTAINMENT because they put the football on instead. I was absolutely fuming as if I wanted to watch football I'd have gone to a pub. I wanted entertainment that's why I booked a caravan park. The kids were so disappointed by this that it cut our holiday short and we drove home that night instead. We had planned to watch the entertainment and go in the morning but as they hadn't put anything on and we aren't football people there was nothing left for us to do so we left. 

So overall, you've got some good staff, it's clean and well  presented but you're limited on pool time, there's pretty shocking entertainment and the food is pretty grim. 
We've been to many parks over the years and they've all been cheaper and better! So save your money and go somewhere else. Luckily we were with other families so we had our own entertainment.

Perhaps pontins would have been better after all!

You can get a lot more for A LOT LESS.

I paid  for a caravan for a week 
The kitchen window didn’t lock 
They wouldn’t give me a travel cot 

The club room only opened Friday and Saturday the rest of the week there was absolutely nothing to do for kids the park smelt of weed the staff didn’t seem the be bothered to do anything 

The chip shop only sold kabobs and pizza nothing else 
And the swimming pool is tiny compared to the pictures 
Don’t get me wrong the receptionist is lovely 

But I definitely won’t be returning better off saving money and going haven
I would only recommend this park if an elderly couple or for a romantic break but not for family’s

Don’t go if for a week with kids

Awful experience! We went in October and it got flooded and they were no help, we ended up leaving early after them not really caring we couldn’t get in or out our caravan without walking through about 2 foot of water. After me constantly ringing them and expressing how unhappy we were they said they’d refund me but took me a while to get them to actually agree on that! But would only refund the 2 days left and not the day we’d arrived! Nearly a month later and I still haven’t got a refund and they are ignoring us? Terrible customer service plus to actually get your keys you need to pay £150 deposit! That eventually went back in 2 weeks after we left. Pictures of the flood don’t really fully show how bad it was, but there response was they couldn’t help it and they’d try get us in the keep as close to our caravan as possible even though it was all around the caravan.
