We loved our all too brief stay at the Dunedin Guest House. Perfectly situated only a short walk from both seaside and the town centre in quiet Alexandra Road, it was a welcome haven to return to after a day’s touring g. The breakfast is generous and Sheleen & Duncan are wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts, with excellent travel advice - even so thoughtful as to produce cushions for our visit to the Minack Theatre. Thanks for a perfect stay! Highly recommended.

Great stay at Dunedin Guest House

What a lovely stay at this lovely traditional guest house. The owner-managers were so incredibly helpful and friendly and happy to share their extensive local knowledge. Duncan arranged taxis for us and gave us plenty of good advice on our trips, particularly to the marvellous Minack open air theatre. Dunedin is well located a short walk from the sea front and in the other direction across a lovely park to the town centre.  The area is well served by buses.  Our room was traditionally furnished but with a nice new bathroom and was very comfortable. Breakfasts are wonderfully well cooked. We strongly recommend Dunedin

A lovely base for visiting Penzance and West Cornwall

Welcoming hosts, comfy room, brilliant base for a fishing weekend and town exploring ( me!)
Going back this month, September. Penzance is my favourite place to chill, and this guest house fits the bill .

Fishing trip!

This guest house ticks all the boxes. We were warmly welcomed by Duncan who has excellent local knowledge. Our room was not huge but big enough with lots of thoughtful and unexpected features - a fridge, wine glasses. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was f8reshly cooked with high quality ingredients. What more could we ask for.? We would highly recommend a stay at Dunedin Guest House.

Excellent in every way

We had such a lovely stay here. 
The hosts were just lovely, helpful,polite and nothing was too much bother.

Holiday Stay

I spent a wonderful week at the Dunedin. Duncan and Shaline could not have been kinder or more helpful. I even got a text before I arrived to say I could check-in early. Duncan was frequently using their dryer for the wet clothing of those who got caught in the heavy rain while out walking. He is a fount of local knowledge having grown up in Penzance. My room was cleaned everyday and everywhere was immaculate. I will certainly return and would highly recommend.

I would just like to say that Duncan has been amazing and really helped and advised me on my reservation.Quick response polite professional would definitely recommend this hotel.From the initial enquiry Duncan has been very helpful.We look forward to coming next year!

Amazing Customer Service

We were a group of 3. The room we had was sub-divided with a section with a single bed and a second bigger section with a double bed. The location is great being a few minutes walk from the main esplanade with its restaurants and pubs. The breakfast menu is excellent with something for everyone. The full english was excellent and there was a selection of cereals, fruit and yogurt as well. Our en suite was small but adequate, loads of lovely thick towels changed every day.

Excellent location, very comfortable accommodation

We stayed at this property for a couple of nights this week and highly recommend it.  Duncan and his wife were a lovely, helpful couple, giving us directions were to find places.  The breakfasts and service at breakfast were very good, with lovely hot food.  The room was clean,  comfortable and quiet. There were tea and coffee facilities. Good for parking and only a walk down the road to the seafront.  Duncan recommended restaurants.

EXCELLENT

Lovely guest house, great location and good host. Spent 3 nights at The Dunedin Guest house and was happy with the room that was neat and tidy as was the en-suite shower. Decors slightly dated but room always felt secure and was a great base for our short break away. The host John was welcoming and offered local knowledge which was much welcomed along with an advisory of the best restaurants in Penzance. Clean towels and made bed everyday what more could you want. We had no issues parking along road and there's a Lidl 10 minutes walk right on the front should you need any refreshments or snacks for the room.
