We rented apartment 4 which was fantastic and very comfortable. We loved to proximity to the sea and coastal path . The beds were comfy and the place was clean and equipped for our needs . I was initially put off by poor reviews but this was not our experience whatsoever. It is a place that has faded glory in some details that were really not vital to our comfort but the price of the stay reflected that and so it was in our view superb and comes highly recommended.

Lovely location and comfortable stay

Visited Minack theatre so booked for one night in one of the hotels apartments. Staff very helpful, so comfortable stayed a second night as so relaxing location. Self catering apartments very well equipped.

Beautiful location , relaxing stay

We stayed in apartment 15 with our 2 children. The apartment was perfect for us. It boasted a clean, cosy living space, bathroom and en-suite for the main bedroom with balcony access via the living room and bedroom. The views of the pool, sea and valley did not disappoint. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, we were left a small cleaning pack, cream tea and milk. Having the use of the washing machine meant there was no need to do any when we returned. The apartment is tucked out of the way with a separate parking space, the steps are quite steep to and from the apartment which add to the authentic country feel, but alternative rooms may be more appropriate for those with accessibility needs. The pool was open daily for use which we took full advantage of. The staff were on site daily, cleaning the grounds and were always very helpful and happy to help with any queries that we had. The grounds were really well kept, gorgeous flowers, butterflies and all other wildlife you’d expect out in the country. The location is key for an activity filled break… just 10 minutes from Penzance. The information folder provided in the apartment was very helpful with information of local places to eat and things to do. Overall we have all had a great time, the kids can not wait to go back!

After reading some of the reviews on here I would add that if you need anything, just ask in the first instance, the friendly staff are only to happy to help you have a seamless stay, contact information for out of hours can be found at the reception desk. Yes… the WiFi and phone signal can be hit and miss, but I found that in pretty much all of the places we visited…

A great getaway

We stayed at the cove lamorna for 5 days and I wish we stayed for longer! 
Our apartment was absolutely stunning even down to a beautiful bunch of flowers on our kitchen side with scones, clotted cream and jam upon arrival!
We was desperate for a cup of tea and forgot to get some milk on our way then to find there was milk in the fridge! It’s the little things like this that go a long way. 
The views were gorgeous and the pool was lovely too!
Free wifi, a laundry room in our apartment, en suite in both rooms and a spacious private garden! 
Myself, my partner and my children loved it there and will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful!

A pleasant greeting on arrival and were shown our apartment personally. The accommodation was quite a surprise - family apartment, which comprised a long entrance corridor to the main living area. This was substantial with a large modern 'island' kitchen with seating on one side. Oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge on the other. There was a washing machine which we intended to use but it was not working (& still loaded with previous guests washing powder). Plenty of crockery and glasses but there was a shortage of cooking utensils.
What was most impressive about the room was the large windows on three sides, providing a view of the sea albeit with a bit of woodland in the foreground and the valley sides. The apartment also directly overlooks the pool with a patio door directly on to the terrace with pool access. The main living area has a substantial L shaped couch which converts in to a double bed. (A couple of the windows didn't have blinds or curtains on so if you are easily awoken by early morning light that is an issue,  but for me waking up to the views was worth it)

The main bedroom had a good 4 poster double bed, ample storage and a substantial wet room with a shower the whole family could get in (if you are inclined).

Cleanliness was very good but the the decor and some fixtures/fittings could do with a bit of investment.

The pool was great, really good depth (a little too deep though if you have small children). A gate from the pool patio leads to a path through woodland down to the quay, Very small beach but a great place to relax away form the crowds. 
The pub, Lomorna Wink, is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, with good home cooked food, but apart from that its quite a long drive to anywhere else to eat or drink. Mousehole though is a bout 15 minutes drive away and if you are walking the coast this is a great place to be based.
Enjoyed and will happily return.

Relaxing and secluded

I so want to write a good review but…. This place totally misses its potential. The staff are lovely and really trying BUT the owners need to spend some serious money to pull the standard up. All the furniture is cheap and so isn’t lasting. This could be an awesome resort but at the moment it’s a budget venue with a pool.  Sofa  beds uncomfortable as a sofa or a bed. Kitchen lacking vital items.

Lacking

We stayed here for one night while walking the South West Coast Path. What an odd place! It suited us as we were two people in a two bedroom apartment, so good value and we could bring our own food. But if I had booked this for a holiday I would have been really disappointed. There is no staffing as such. When I called to check something earlier,  I went through to a call centre and spoke to someone who was clearly not based at the hotel. When we arrived there was a young woman there who gave us our keys, but she didn't look as though she was hanging around for long. The building is very tired with stained carpets and needs a good redecorate and a deep clean. Our apartment was big, with a well appointed kitchen and a washing machine and two en suite bathrooms. One shower was out of action, the other struggled to mix hot and cold water. Blinds were dirty and old, paintwork was tatty. I had a swim in the pool which was actually very nice, but the area around it is unkempt and the furniture old and damaged. There were overflowing bins in the car park. The local pub is shut so you need to self cater or have a car. I really can't figure out what's going on here. Has it been purchased with a view to refurbishing it? Do the owners just not care? Who knows. I wouldn't recommend it.

A very odd place

They cancelled the reservation with 24 hrs notice claiming maintenance. 

Telephone numbers all disconnected and no response to emails.  

As this was part of a wider trip I am left having to book last minute alternate accomodation at significant cost, while trying to get a refund. 

Avoid

Avoid.  Cancelled fully paid reservation and not contactable. Phone disconnected

I paid for a two bed apartment in March, received a ‘welcome pack’ at the beginning of June, then on 6th June, the day before we were due to arrive, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled.
I rebooked elsewhere but while in Cornwall visitedThe Cove only to find from a Bailiff’s notice on the door that the property had been repossessed by order of the High Court on 23 December 2021 and was closed. All efforts to get a refund have failed and phone lines are disconnected. However, the web site is still active and will still take bookings if anyone is unfortunate enough to proceed. It is still being promoted on Trip Adviser despite many adverse reviews like this one

Don't book this Hotel it is closed down  can't get any information what is happening to this hotel pay your money and don't get it back tried to contact hotel but the phone is disconnected and also the don't return your emails
