My friend and I had a very pleasant stay at the Mangreen Hotel. The hotel is very convenient for a trip into Norwich City Centre (just 10 minutes by taxi) and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Due to the age of the main building there are lots of quirky, period features. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the home-cooked breakfast was a great start to our lazy Sunday. 

A very pleasant stay

What a great quirky hotel this is and for the price of a premier inn or travel lodge but much more interesting and unique location. I had the Oak room with a lovely sofa to relax on with a coffee. Great views of an expansive lawn area. Many old style and tasteful accessories. Breakfast was great and as much as you can eat, Lovely grounds and friendly staff. If I need to stay near Norwich again and the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

An Old Style Quintessential Stay

I booked the Mangreen hotel this just on the off chance and at the last minute but I was very glad I did. What a lovely spot slightly off the beaten track and very peaceful. 

Check in was easy and my room was very comfortable with two nice armchairs to sit and a big bed. The en-suite was modern and clean. 

The only downside is you need to think ahead about arrangements for an evening meal, there is nothing without a drive. 

Breakfast was really nice and the staff were excellent. 

Really great

Really lovely country hotel in beautiful grounds. Ample parking, super friendly hotel manager who was very helpful with taxis etc. our only fault was that the shower head just dribbled out (need a new one) and the shower tray overflowed (Drain blocked) other than that a very peaceful relaxing stay.

Didn't like the place from the minute I drove in, it's not very welcoming looking, yes it's an old house but it could do with a lot of tlc. The use of extensions is nearly criminal and the US of tested tickets must have fallen in the rain. The stairs up to second floor is at least dangerous to say the least and I'd love to talk to the fire officer who passed these premises fit. I'd also like to meet the photographer who took the photos on the website, he's a miracle worker. The breakfast was OK. Nothing to write home about, it wasn't anything to get over excited about. The place is just about ok, I won't be back, definitely better value out there. It's a pity because it wouldn't take a lot to make the place  very nice. 


Expensive for what you get. 

Spent the day in lovely Norwich. Found Mangreen easily using a satnav. Met by a lady with a sense of humour akin to ours which was good.

Room was fine for us and we had a good night's kip.

Breakfast was good for us too and we checked out feeling very happy with our stay. 

Oh......we did accidentally break a lamp.   Dammitt. LOL. The price sticker was on the base of the lamp as fate would have it so I duly reimbursed the lovely woman with the cost

would we stay here again?   Yes, of course.

great overnight stay

Very cosy  Hotel. We spent 2 nights here in a double room. The room and bed were very comfortable and the breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice. Everyone was helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Again, staff couldn’t be more helpful. A fabulous breakfast prepared early especially to meet our needs. Our room was small, but we were aware upfront. Very convenient for the area around Norwich. We’ll be back!

Lovely location really comfy bed and room however our room was freezing cold, heating didn't seem to be on and we travelled through the really cold spell. We had an electric heater which did nothing to warm the room up we also found it was on a double socket adapter then an extension lead. Not safe to leave on overnight which meant we froze good job we had a nice thick duvet. Shame as it's a stunning location but it has put us off going back.

Beautiful house set in the countryside. We had a very warm and friendly welcome. The room was lovely with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was very nice, chef was a bit heavy handed with the pepper. I could not get onto the WiFi though.
