Probably the easiest 5 star review I've given! It would be worth 5 stars just for the quality of the room and the value. Its better than that though, Laura is very welcoming and gave us tips for things to do in the area. Its a beautiful area of Scotland and not as busy or touristy as some other places we've been in the highlands. The breakfast is fantastic. I loved the view from our room and the breakfast room. To top it all, there were lovely touches like fresh milk and ground coffee in the room. We'd love to stay again!

An absolute gem of a bed and breakfast.  Fantastic host - Laura.  Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.  Brilliant breakfasts with a great variety each day. Rooms are big and very comfortable.  Great parking.  Stunning scenery and views.  Reasonable prices.  A residential pine marten.  Thank you Laura for making our stay enjoyable.  We'll be back

Just returned from a fabulous stay at Otterburn. This is one of the best B&B we have ever stayed in - the Stag Room was extremely comfortable and Laura was a super hostess providing amazing food - the morning specials at breakfasts were delicious and afternoon cake were a real treat! Thank you so much!

Nothing is too much trouble for Laura. She is an excellent hostess and wants her guests to be well looked after. Her knowledge of local walks was invaluable and she was able to book dinner for us locally.

Extremely comfortable B&B, especially the bed.  Good breakfast choices, all delicious.  Also enjoyed the tea and home baking late afternoon.  Gorgeous view of the loch from our room and the dining room / lounge.  The host Laura was helpful and knowledgeable and showed great attention to detail.  Good value too, hopefully go back some time.

Otterburn B&B is a fantastic place to stay. 'Otter' room is just perfect with the view of the loch, a very comfortable bed and great shower.

Breakfast is cooked to perfection with a 'special' offered every day; the Scotch pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup were really yummy!

The Pine Marten visited whilst I was there - seeing him was a special treat. "

Tips:

Sanna Bay is definitely worth a visit but be prepared for a long drive on single track roads. Plenty of passing places thankfully and the scenery is superb!

Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is also worth a visit - watch out for the blind summits! The drive back to Otterburn is 35 miles and took me nearly 2 hours so allow plenty of time!

Cant recommend this place enough. Very high standards and house is immaculate. The host Laura met us after a long journey and offered us tea and home baking. Very thoughtful. Very quiet location and views are stunning looking over Loch Sunart. Fantastic breakfast and local hotel is only 600 yrds away if you want to eat out.  The host could not be nicer and  nothings a problem, very helpful. Cant wait to go back.

Great view to wake up to. And sunsets.
Good location. Not far from ferry.  Easy drives in all directions. Plenty parking,village and hotel an easy walk.

We stayed at Otterburn for several nights on our first visit to the area around Ardnamurchan. We came to spot seals and otters, go on long walks and paddle in the sea loch. Laura took exceptional care of us. Our room (Otter) was spacious, tidy, spotless (exactly as in the website photos) and had the most amazing view to the loch. We would love to wake up to that every day! The food was delicious and plentiful (we also dined out a few times).

Laura had many helpful suggestions for day trips, and showed us photos, maps, walking books and more. We also went on a bespoke sea kayak adventure with Otter Adventures (run by Laura’s husband Karl, out of Otterburn). 

I won’t dwell on COVID precautions, other than to say it was all very well organised and safe but entirely unobtrusive. 

We only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back.
