I booked in here even though it had bad reviews. I lived in that area for a few weeks and I was going down memory so I thought one night is bearable. It looked good. The gardens were well kept. I was tired but admired the building. A male member of staff watched me  struggle up steps with 2 suitcases. I had left them at the bottom of the steps in order to go and ring the bell. First impressions were ,'I am Shirley, get me out of here' the bin was overflowing. The female receptionist was rude. She gave me my key and when I said I had asthma and aehtritist so couldn't climb up 2 flights of stairs she said I should have indicated my disability on the booking form and anyway downstairs were more expensive. She didn't rooms ask if I could afford it. I asked for help with t for a walk. When I came back it was me. The kewtsahe  She said she'd  lean so csee if anyone was available. A man took my bag and took it to top of stairs. I had to struggle up some more steps and along a corridor with heavy doors. The place smelt of smoke and curry. The room was filthy. Electrical equipment were due tests nearly 2 years before. It was dusty, mouldy. Dirty. The tea tray was the same. I took photos then went for a walk. Not expecting the restaurant to be open I found a prize-winning  takeaway where customers agreed that I had chosen a grotty hotel. I went back to my room , the in  need of repair and cleaning. As the lock in the door had been tampered with, I barricaded myself in the room. I prayed for a safe night. Next morning I looked in the other bathroom which was as bad as the other one and even had a spider in the bath. I went to breakfast. The waitress was grumpy, unfriendly and banged my plate in the table. She muttered something which I found out later was info on where to find sugar and condiments. I was packing when there was a bang in the Door. She shouted at me to get out or pay extra. I went downstairs and was outside comparing experiences with other guests. They weren't happy either. They'd taken cash off someone though they had taken Money's from her credit card before she hit there. When this guest asked for receipt and the extra money back they said they'd return it to her card. It wasn't. While she was arguing for her refund I was also demanding a receipt. I was refused one until I have back the keys. She threatened to call the police and report me to the booking agency.  Meanwhile the other guest had called the police. They arrived as I was leaving clutching my hardfoughtfor receipt. Days later I sent a complaint to Leeds City Council  up. I wouldn't go there again. It was obvious that only  Sikhs  and their family members were welcome. 

Awful experience

This hotel is very cheap. But is not clean. The staff are different. Some of them are good and helpful but one of them not frindly. The price is cheap. And good for low budget. The price of the hotel is cheap. Is good for low budget. 

Cheap hotel

Stayed here recently and by long and far it was the worst place I have ever stayed in the room was tiny and the place was scruffy & downright dirty and not pleasant at all.
From the outside it looks pretty decent don't let that fool you once you step inside you are transformed back in time to the 70's or 80's the place would make The Villa Bella in Only fools & horses look classy in short it was filthy.The only good thing was I stayed on a Saturday night but had to leave on the Sunday and asked could I have a slightly earlier breakfast or even a pot of coffee to which I was given a strange look to which I took as a NO!
All in all probably the worst place I've stayed in my entire life.
Avoid at all costs..

A Dump!

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. Save yourself from the horrible and traumatic experience that I and many other guests have had.

This hotel not only disrespects but LOATHES its guests. I had a booking for one night for a business trip. I was not informed of the check-in time so I called reception at a reasonable time in the evening (8pm), asking them when the check-in time was. I was transferred to a woman with a thick accent who seemed to be the manager. She said the check-in time ended an hour ago (which I believe in hindsight was a contemptuous lie). I asked her if they might wait half an hour for me to come, because their homepage and the booking website did not state check-in times anywhere. 'Too bad!', she spat, and added that I would have to pay the full room fee for not showing up. I told her she shouldn't treat guests in such a contemptuous and aggressive manner, and that I'd write a bad review of them. The manager shouted 'I DON'T CARE! Your booking is now cancelled!' and hung up the phone. I was left without a place to stay in a city hundreds of miles from home. I tried to phone the reception again a few times, but they would not answer. 

The next day, I received a barrage of phone calls from the hotel demanding that I pay for my non-existent stay! Of course I refused. 

Even if you are desperate for a cheap hotel, there must be a better option than this. If I hadn't been helped by some security guards at my business conference I would have had to wander the streets at night searching for a place to sleep. It was absolutely shocking to me how the people who run this hotel don't seem to have even a whiff of human decency.

***PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE: ABUSE AND TRAUMA***

Dirty.smelly.hot water not always,people smoke in the bedroom,on.radiator not working. Itchy after sleep.good price for solo.not good for family,been there over a year,know the place inside out,a lot of working men with dirty clothes stay there. To me I can't afford anywhere else.
