Me and my parents Stayed at this lovely guest house in Christ Church. Was a excellent stay the room was very good and spotless . The breakfast was fantastic as the Owners catered for the fact that i have celiac disease so offered me a gluten free breakfast which was no trouble for the owners. When we arrived was greeted by Vince which was excellent service. the Guest house had hand sanitizer bottles  at the entrance to the property which was excellent with Corona Virus going around. Also felt it was excellent that we were given a complimentary hand sanitizer bottle. Can not fault this place good location as well. Will definitely be returning again sometime for another break.

First Class

We had a weekend break at Stour House recently.  The entire place is clean and fresh. Jan and Vince are friendly, accommodating hosts and also were able to advise on days out in the local area. 
We felt confident with their covid arrangements. The breakfast is wonderful with fresh ingredients including homemade muslie, fresh fruit salad and good coffee along with a generous portion of cooked full English. Our good sized room was at the back overlooking the garden & was very quiet,decent sized bathroom with a bath and strong, hot shower. We would recommend Stour House as a good base for exploring the area - the town and seaside are within walking distance & many other places to explore are within a short drive. All in all a very pleasant weekend.

Lovely find

We have recently spent 2 nights at Stour Lodge. Very impressed, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, delighyful house. Lovely hot shower, tea, coffee, water, biscuits in the room. Under covid circumstances Jan and Vince did a remarkable job adhering to all social-distancing requirements. Tasty, hot freshly cooked breakfast. Great location for us visiting family and walking into Christchurch. We could not have wished for more and will certainly return.

Just returned from our second stay at Stour Lodge and once again everything was spot on.
Jan and Vince are the perfect hosts rooms are spotless and the breakfast is freshly cooked and sets you up for the day.
Good location for Christchurch and attractions we will definitly stay again.

Great place to stay

Visited for one night. Found the hosts very welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. There was a great choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was very well cooked and the poached eggs were also done to perfection.Nice home made marmalade and Jam was a nice touch.

Lovely room and super breakfast

I stayed here in the single room for 2 nights. Unlike another review of this room I found it quiet, once you closed the window, so I slept well. Room was spotless and well equipped. WiFi available at no extra charge. Extra items were available in the single wardrobe (such as iron, ironing board and a fan). Jan and Vince were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and they cater for veggie and gf too, as long as you let them know in advance.

Toiletries in the bathroom were standard bottles fixed to the walls which is fantastic for plastic-free stays. Towels were large and fluffy. *The shower doesn't allow much room for movement, so ladies(or gents!) if you need to de-fluff your legs--- I wish you good luck!*
The room would be better served by removing the chair, since there is already a stool under the desk. And manoeuvring out of the front door can be difficult when the car park space directly in front of it is taken. 
Having said that, if I need to stay in the area again, I would definitely come here. 

A close shave but stupendous breakfast!

As a solo traveller, it was a joy to receive such a warm friendly welcome from Jan and Vince. I spent four nights in the exceedingly comfortable, spotless and well appointed Spoonbill room. The breakfasts were exceptional, freshly prepared seasonal fruit salad, creamy yogurts, choice of breads for toasting served with homemade jams and marmalade. The cooked breakfast menu was extensive and used top quality locally sourced ingredients, cooked to order and to individual requirements. The B&B is well located, only a short walk to Christchurch Priory, local restaurants, the Quay and ferry services to Hengistbury head. I hope to return soon.

Simply the best!

Stayed for two nights, the room was comfortable, everything was clean and fresh.  Breakfast was more than ample, fresh fruit, cereals, toast and the full english all well presented and tasty.  Location an easy walk into Christchurch centre so no need to use the car.

Excellent B&B choice

Lovely place and well located but felt as a single traveler the room was very small and cramped, very noisy from the road and bed wasn't particularly comfortable. In my opinion it was not worth paying almost £70 for one night, more like £40. A nice place but not worth the money.
