After reading the last couple of reviews I had doubts on wether to cancel or not, I’m so glad I didn’t !
We booked the family room (Tornado) the room is more like a little flat, living room, kitchen large bathroom.
Everything in there was clean, bed linen & towels smelt lovely, kitchen & bathroom spotless , bed was really comfortable with excellent pillows !
We knew that the pub had a live band playing and there would be noise but it was all done and dusted by 11pm
Lovely crowd of people in the pub, very friendly.
Breakfast in the morning was spot on, couldn’t complain at all .
We will definitely return and would recommend it to friends and family 💯
Please give it a try , the reality of it is that some people want champagne & caviar on a pie and a pint price !!! Great value for money I’d say 👍🏻

Perfect place

I turned up with no reservation around 11 in the morning a lovely lady called Karen I think ? was at the bar I asked her if there was a room available she was very professional welcoming she had a look at her book and said yes we have. 
She let me have and early check in that was amazing as I was tried from traveling and needed to sleep
The room was lovely with ensuite bathroom and shower and very comfortable and modern and clean. 
I was working on the night at a local theatre and when I returned to the pub later it was still open so had a few drinks and went to bed I slept amazingly. 
The breakfast was a pre order and time which was great for me as I set my alarm I went down at 9.15 to a lovely charm breakfast area the waitress was there to welcome me with a good morning and my coffee and my breakfast was with me in no time my poached eggs on toast they was lovely. 
There is great parking across the road for £4 for 24 hours that’s fab and I left my car there as Bridgnorth is a nightmare to park anywhere. 
Overall a fantastic place to stay and a great bar and friendly staff and it was great value for money what more can you ask for 
Wayne lead singer with (killer Rhapsody) hopefully see you again next year .

A fantastic place to eat drink and stay

We arrived around 11am and parked across the road at the railway. We spent the day on the railway and arrived back at Bridgnorth at 6pm. Check in was quick and Sue showed us to our room. I couldn't believe that we had a bedroom, bathroom with a bath and shower, kitchen and a living room! All were beautifully clean with plenty of towels, shampoos/shower gels and tea/coffee. 

I had booked a table for dinner and we arrived downstairs to a reserved table. There was plenty of choice on the menu. I chose the chicken and leek pie while my partner had steak. His steak was cooked perfectly and my pie was delicious and huge! Sue made sure that we didn't have to queue at the bar for drinks and bought them to our table. 

The pub had a tribute to Elton John who was really good. The atmosphere was fantastic and  fun. Marcus also played piano and sang at the end of the evening ( he's very good too)
 
Had a lovely nights sleep and arrived downstairs for breakfast. Not only did they have cereals, yoghurt and fruit.  But there was a menu with a choice of cooked Breakfasts. Freshly brewed coffee/tea and juice were also available . I had a full breakfast and it was cooked lovely. 

I have to say that I've never stayed anywhere that makes you feel at home like Sue and Marcus did.  I will definitely be back as there was nothing I could fault at all.

Fantastic stay!

Just got back from a couple of nights break. Marcus and sue make you so welcome. So lovely and cosy. The weather was so bitter cold. But the grorge was homely and warm. This is our 3rd visit and would recommend.a walk up the hill to the High Street.plenty of pubs. All decorated for Christmas. Look forward to seeing you again.

Lovely

From the moment  we arrived we had a fabulous  time .parking across the rd  bedroom  really all you need .evening meal was delicious. The bar was so much fun with Shropshire  locals. We had beautiful  brands x coffee after dinner .breakfast  was hot and just what we need 
Will be staying here again in December  for a few days.  Loved meeting sue x Marcus.

We have a hotel in Blackpool  and been going working so hard  we felt we need a break so l booked this pub to stay in .all l can

I STAYED HERE FOR 4 night lovely bed the drinks at the bar were a very good price
i also ate my evening meals in the bar the food was very nice all the staff led by SUE the landlady 
were all very polite

FANTASTIC LOCATION

The nicest place I've ever stayed, Great atmosphere,  A band played on the night, brilliant,  followed by the landlord Marcus smashing out rock n roll songs on his piano, Very clean and welcoming place, The cooked breakfast has got to be the best I've had, I can not praise the place and staff enough, ..😃👍

My husband and I stayed here last night just for the one night as we had travelled down to visit friends.  We arrived early, which was not a problem at all we were greeted.  We checked in and was shown to our room.  I loved that each room was named, presumably to do with the railway.  
The room was comfortable with tea and coffee, little toiletries in the bathroom.  The bed was good..  I only say good as I suffer with back problems so I can't expect every bed I sleep in to be the same as home.  My husband was more than happy and I did have a good nights sleep. 
Even though it's by a main road it was lovely and quiet and you can use the car park over the road in the railway.  
We didn't eat our evening meal in the pub but did have breakfast.. And how superbly delicious it was.  Freshly made and perfect.  I didn't catch the hoteliers names but they were lovely and friendly.  We will certainly stay here the next time we come down on a visit.

What a fabulous little gem

We stayed at the George for three nights. The room was very comfortable with good wardrobe and drawer space but was a little tired!  The breakfasts and evening meal we had were really excellent both in quality and quantity.  The bar had a wide range of ales and lagers -something for everyone.  The owner and staff were really friendly and helpful and the locals were very welcoming.  We were able to park across the road in the Severn Valley Railway car park for free.  All in all we had a superb time and would definitely recommend it to friends and family

A very friendly hotel in an excellent location

We have had a very pleasant stay. The room was very good value and breakfast was super tasty.We enjoyed the location next to the old railway.Took a brisk walk into town and enjoyed drinks and cinema.Thankyou to the joyful young couple running the accommodation very sweet
