Holiday Inn Express Bath by IHG

We’ve stayed in this hotel over 20 times on short breaks over the years and am happy to write that this recent stay was probably our best yet. We arrived in very early afternoon, not really expecting a room to be available at that time. But the very friendly receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful and we were pleased to find we had one of the newer rooms too. We stay here because of the fairly easy walk into Bath centre and leave our car parked for a few days; I was quite pleased that the hotel discount meant that the car park charge hadn’t increased too much from last year (£17.50 from £15 per day), please always keep the discount! The room was spotlessly clean (and maintained that way through our stay) with a very comfortable bed. That’s really all we needed! Breakfast leaves room for improvement (as other reviews note!) - I’d love better coffee and quality fruit juices. But we really only have a very simple meal at that time, so the choice of cereals and breads suited us. All in all a very enjoyable stay at a reasonable price, thank you!
