This is the second time we have used Weston Lawn as its near a family member. The owners are really friendly and helpful and provide a delicious continental breakfast in the room. Fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, fruit compote breads and jams as well as every sort of cereal and of course tea, coffee etc.We particularly like the fact that there is a separate living room/kitchen in which to relax. (Washing machine, dishwasher also provided) Wifi is good and in the summer there is a nice patio area.If we are being picky the bathroom is a little dated and the TV is on the small side however these are only small issues that don't spoil the overall experience. The property is at the back of the owners house and a walk across the garden to it does involve some steep steps.

Home from home

Very quaint but comfortable old cottage. They staff made an extra effort to make us feel at home. Thanks!

For the price it was amateurish.  Moldy smell requires the windows and door open in the cottage.  Mattress was horrible.

Cute, but that's all.

This is a fabulous little hotel or guesthouse – just outside of Bath City Centre.  We worried that it may be too far away but had not appreciated that Bath is actually quite small and found that we could drive 2 – 3 minutes from Weston Lawn to Royal Victoria Park each day and walk ( 2 minutes) into the city centre and see all the sights.  
The room was large and airy, looking out over the garden.  There was a pleasant sitting area, with a small dinette and fridge which had lovely homemade scones put in there every day with local preserves.  There were simple breakfast things there as well which meant we could fend for ourselves and not bother having to get dressed for breakfast in a more formal dining room , as you do in many other places.  
We were delighted to have found this place and disappointed when we returned to Bath 6 weeks later and found they were already booked up! Fiona and William were lovely hosts and William was able to give us lots of tips on local parking and how to get in and around Bath.

So close to the city of Bath.

We had a really fabulous three days at Weston Lawn.  The room was large, like a mini apartment, with en suite, sitting area, mini kitchen area (for the breakfast things provided in-room) and the bed was big and cosy.  Of special delight was the daily scones and homemade jam provided in the room, a welcome afternoon tea after all our walking around Bath.  You can drive from the property to the nearby city centre and park, or park up near Victoria Park and walk down to the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa etc.  There is just so much to do and we are glad we made this much time to do it all.  It is a great base to explore from.  We are just very disappointed that there is no availability to us in August as we are returning with our daughter - home from Uni - and her Godmother!

Calming, clean and comfortable

We came to visit our friends and go to their sons christening. It was perfect location for us and just what we needed with our new born.

We stayed at Weston Lawn earlier in the year and stayed in Garden Room when breakfast was served in dining room. Now have continental breakfast in rooms. My daughter and her partner stayed in Garden Room and we had The Cottage. So comfortable and everything you need for a shop trip available. Loved the freedom of breakfast in room. More than adequate for our needs. The cottage overlooked the vegetable garden which we found delightful. The cottage was also good for family spending time together. My son lives locally so Weston Lawn is convenient but the welcome and cleanliness of the accommodation is first class. Rooms also provide booklet with lots of local information. Only approx 30 minutes to walk into Bath central. The Old Crown located at bottom of hill also good for evening meal.  Will definitely visit Weston Lawn again. Well done William and Fiona

Family stay in garden room and Cottage

We would like to thank Fiona & William for a lovely stay , it was very clean and quiet , breakfast was lovely   especially  William's homemade marmalade. 
A lovely comfortable bed , best sleep I've ever had in a B/B.

Thankyou again , will be back. 

Excellent & Friendly.  

Stayed for a couple of nights as part of our tour of Bath and Wells. Not too far from the City which was a pleasant walk. The owners were very hospitable and our room was really pleasant. The house is split as the main house and the servants quarters. The stairs up to the rooms is narrow but as its the servants quarters its part of the history. The bed was comfortable and the room had tea and coffee making facilities. One morning we had the cooked breakfast which was really well cooked and filling, the continental breakfast was also very good. Overall a really pleasant stay and we would certainly stay there again if visiting the area again.

Visiting Bath and surrounding area.

We chose the B&B for ease of access to Bath with the advantage of it being out of the centre. We arrived a couple of hours early and when knocking on the front door our hostess said we were lucky to find her in and check in times were on the website. We said that we had not noted this but offered an apology. Not the greatest start especially as we were then told the room was ready! Did we really need to have this conversation after a long journey?

We stayed in a self contained cottage in the gardens which was fine and well equipped. Breakfast was ok and we had noted that a cooked breakfast was at a supplement. A girl  came to clean the room in the morning which we said was not necessary. Our host then intimated we had had a problem with her which was not the case at all which I made clear. Another unfortunate incident.

Working in the service industry myself I know on occasion this can be stressful. If our host had not been in when we arrived we would have came back and would not have worried at all.

A weekend we had looked forward to made  a little less enjoyable I am afraid. Guests should not be made to feel awkward.
