The motel is near the train station.its really convenient.The guest room is large and clean.I'll be back.

Nice location,large room space

Stayed there for 2 nights without even realising that we booked a motel. It's hard to get by using English but the reception girls know very well how to use google translate on their phones ;)

The room starts with a massive garage down a long and scary corridor but after getting through the parking space you will be amazed. The king bed is very comfortable, the spa bath is probably for a family of 5 and the view from our level 3 room was rather pleasant. The strange thing is that there's nothing but a string curtin between the bed and the toilet so be prepared to do your business in front of each other.

Breakfast not worth it though - on the second morning we found a great little place around the corner that served some super cheap and really good noodle soup instead. Very friendly service and as Yilan is a great little place the 30 minute walk to and from the train station and the center of town was very enjoyable with little restaurants, street food and bars on the way. If you're not a walker then as we all know taxi service is cheap in Taiwan.

With the WiFi make sure you preorder it as they only have a limited supply of routers that they give out for free Internet.

Out of town but rooms are high end!

We stayed at the Dubai Motel earlier this month. It is situated on the outskirts of the township of Yilan and there is very little in the way of shops or restaurants  in the vicinity of the motel. We made many trips back into town and although the taxi fare was only US$5 it mounted up over the period. The rooms are ultra modern and have huge spa bath. The open living plan may not suit everyone - particularly if you like to attend to toilet habits in private. 
Breakfast was Ok but probably catered more for Eastern tastes - understandable I guess considering that I was there for two days and didn't see another Westerner.
Overall I consider the motel acceptable and would recommend it to other travellers.

A bit remote but quite acceptable

The room is extremely spacious, living area + bedroom + bathroom is almost like 2 or 3 standard hotel rooms add together. Even the sink bath jacuzzi is good for a party. 

They provide everything you will need, toothbrush bath foam shampoo shaver even a hair claw clip for tying up your hair. The room's mini bar provides complimentary coffee tea soft drinks, snacks and instant noodles. They even provide breakfast on the next day morning. 

Basically this is a fully equipped place to stay at. The only reason people are shunned off is either because of its location, about 5mins drive from Yilan Train Station (120TWD taxi fare), or because its simply a love motel. However during my stay here, there are also a fair share of family staying here because some bigger rooms have its own pool which is actually a really nice and fun place for the kids to enjoy. I feel that its a great hotel regardless for family or couples traveling, it may be too huge for a solo traveller though.
