Bao Shan Holiday Hotel

My family of 3 stayed in a family room with 2 big beds from dec 26-29 for NTD1500/night. This hotel is just opposite the front exit of zhongli railway station (which is different from taoyuan station). Conveniently located within walking distance to train and bus stations, shopping district and eateries. It is located on levels 2-5 of a building without lifts so remember to ask for a room on a lower floor. The room was ready for check in (which was very efficient) when we arrived at noon. The room was small but complete with the basic essentials. In fact, the quality of the shampoo was so good that our hair felt so smooth and silky during our stay. However, the pillows and blankets felt very lumpy and seasoned. The counter staff informed us about pornography channels to avoid as there was a teenager among us. Prior to arriving at zhongli, we spent 4 days in yilan which rained every day. As soon as we settled in the room, we brought out 2 baskets of clothes to be washed and dried for only NTD80/basket. Though the staff said it would take 24 hours, the clean and dry clothes were returned by the following morning. This hotel sells leofoo village 六福村 tickets at a discounted rate for their guests which come with complimentary KFC breakfast delivered to the room. We had a choice of porridge, sandwich or burger with coffee or tea. The hsinchu bus station which has direct bus to leofoo village is just on the left of the hotel. You can also board 台湾好行慈湖线from zhongli station. The day before checking out, we shamelessly handed them another basket of laundry before moving on to our next stop, miaoli. Once again, they delivered the service with a smile.
