Hi,
I think I have to write something for someone who has been cheated like me.
I booked 2 nights (via Agoda) but have to go after our first night (loss 01 night because I paid already) and have to come back to Taipei, even if planned to stay in kenting for 3 days. Here is my true experiance:
1. Room: quite humid, too small even it says 32sqm, mastress is dirty and too old 
2. Stated wrong about the place: no beach, sea view but actually sea is very far and view is very very bad. 
3. Road to the hotel: seems we are going to the jungle, scene around looks like rural and in bad condition. 
4. breakfast: too bad (we have even taken a video but cant load it here) while charged NT$500 this is equal Ceisar (5 stars) & Novotel Taoyuan which has a very very good breakfast. We can say they are 0 star while Novotel is 4 stars. 
5. Service is too bad, employees attitude & professional seems worse than hostel. I think is is the motel.
6. Room & hotel are completely different with pics in Agoda, it seems 3D pics not actual, I am totally shock about this. 

I will never never recommend for any one. Pls think carefully before booking this hotel.

Just a motel not hotel

The hotel looks great on the pictures but then the service is just average, I don't fully understand what's the meaning of "boutique" for them . Staff if very nice and room is clean but location is so far ( about 6km from the city on a mountain road), installations are old ( you even need to use a key for the room door instead of a magnetic card ) , the breakfast is extremely limited on options and poorly cooked. Most likely won't return as I guess there must be better options out there currently .

Nice no the outside, not so nice on the inside

Chose this hotel as the hotel we want to book was booked out so just random picked one , it is quite big brand in Taichung so we though it must be similar standard as the motel I stayed before,and checked the photo seems ok. But when we arrived I was totally regretful.pretty mouldy smell from the lobby to the room, luckily it didn't happen in the room, but my room was arranged on fourth floor with ocean view, hardly to see the ocean and it was pretty hot as it is top floor, also most of room on that floor are staffs room. The lounge was material in plastic looks so cheap and uncomfortable, luckily we only stayed for one night and moved to another nice 5stars. Reception are friendly but not professional all looks very casual. Breakfast was good that probably is the only one thing I do recommend. Good value hotel if you are looking for something budget, but I rather spent more to stay in the hotel I regular stay on the Main Street.

Bit dated

     My kids were visiting from the US, and trying to find a place we would all enjoy.  Moon Shy is close enough to the Kenting market to easily visit, yet far enough away to seem as if you are in the countryside.
     The hotel rooms are very nice.  They are clean and well thought-out.  The bathroom has showed and a nice jetted jacuzzi-type tub.  The ceiling to floor windows in the bathroom are a nice touch (but can also be covered for privacy).  The bath oils provided were a nice touch.
     Breakfast accommodates both Asian and Western cuisines.  There was toast (pbj, butter and jelly), cereal, as well as several as in dishes.   
     I'd highly recommend this place

Very nice getaway, secluded and relaxing

Although a little far away from the main street of Kenting and the beach, it is a nice boutique hotel to escape the crowd of the resort town. You will definitely need your own transport. The breakfast was very average. The room's main attraction would be the jacuzzi in the bathroom which has a lighting that changes color every few seconds. Very romantic if you are a couple. The bathroom has floor to ceiling window which offers nice view of the surroundings but realized that people outside could see the inside of the bathroom.
