The Frangipani Home

This is a delightful property and the experience of living in a home stay was our best thus far.... we chose an AC room for this time of year (late March) and even on a setting of 22C it would get too cold at night so we had to switch off the AC and pretty much use the fan for the remainder of the night. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, fitted with mosie net. The toilet was huge with hot/cold water supply. The food all freshly home cooked was absolutely delicious and extremely economical. We stayed for 4 nights and had breakfast daily, and lunch and dinner more than once. Dinal saw to our every need and his Mom is a wonderful cook and most gracious host. If you ever want to try authentic Sri Lankan food this is the place to do it! The property is perfectly located.... approx 1km from the Weligama Dive Centre and in the other direction to the Weligama (surfers) Beach and downtown areas. We walked every where as it only takes 15-20mins. We were there to do some diving courses and unfortunately never had the time to go out surfing with Dinal (who will even teach you) or for a river/lake safari by boat. Whatever you need, just ask Dinal ! We had an amazing stay and next time we visit Weligama/Mirissa, this is where we will stay !!
