Romany the owner of this place was terrific! So lovely and a perfect cook! The beach is just in front the place and you also have a lot of small bar and restaurant around the area.We enjoyed our staying.Thanks from Anna and Nando It was amazing,

Homely and lovely

That’s an amazing place with an amazing owner Ramani 🤍we booked 3 nights but extended for 2 weeks till our flight because we felt like in paradise in that location of Tangalle and felt like home in Ananda Home Stay. We called Ramani our “Sri Lanka’s mama” because she cares a lot about us, about everything. The house is just in 30 seconds by walk to the ocean and to the most beautiful beach of Tangalle, in 3 minutes by walk there is supermarket, in 15 minutes by walk- city center and bus station. We stayed in Villa and it’s very quiet there in the night, you sleep like a baby) in the house she has 4 rooms for rent , each of it has a private bathroom. A cozy terrace, swing, nice living room, you may hear the sound of ocean, paradise…We travelled all Sri Lanka during 3 months and in the end of our trip there we found our the best place - Ananda home stay and Tangalle. Thanks, Ramani, we will come back with pleasure. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect..... Lovely family, made us feel part of the family and we really didn't want to leave (after extending our stay). You walk out of the house and you're on the beach, with everything you need within a few minutes walk (shop, many good restaurants, etc). The bus station is only 10min walk or a cheap tuktuk ride. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts helped us with everything without even asking.... Even with sorting out a delivery for a phone. The house is super clean, no pets, flies etc, and sitting on the terrace outside is very nice, watching the many exotic birds, the sea and hearing the waves. We will be back and staying for longer .... Highly recommended!  

Fantastic family, great place and perfect location!

The place was looking just like in the photos. Room and bathroom were clean and simple. All you needed was at hand. Terrace was pretty nice as well and you could stay there to dine or chat.

The lady owning the place was extremely nice and communicative. She made sure our stay was as nice as possible and she even taught my wife to cook Dahl curry with rotti.

Location is perfect, very close to the beach (20m), but not in the tuk tuk's way.

All in all, we really much enjoyed the stay here and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Great place with incredibly good and personal sevice. Very tasty food at the homestay made of the lovin’ mother, who has an honest and warm personality. 
50 meters from the beach, with lots of restaurants.
Possible to rent scooters.

Comfortable home stay with good and personale service

For us is this the most nice place in Tangalle to stay. It is 2 minutes walk to the beach and very close to restaurants. Ananda homestay is a very peaceful and guiet place and the owner is a lovely and friendly woman who will helps you with everything. She can make the best curries and she can teach you how to make the most delicious curries! You can relax in the garden and there is a room where you can read and relax and stay together with other guests. Every time we come back to Tangalle because it is the most cleanest beach from Sri Lanka and  Ananda Homestay is the most lovely place to stay in Tangalle and of course to see and met this lovely family each time again. For us it is not a guesthouse but a guesthome!!! 

A lovely and nice place to stay near the beach

We had a great time and lots of fun during our first cooking class. Ananda is very nice and friendly person and of course also a really good cook! 
If we would’ve known before, we would have stayed in her rooms:-)
