Superb place right on the beach. 
Stayed for 1 night but would like to have stayed longer. Came with 2 kids and they loved it too. 
Nice little pool that we used since it was not season for swimming in the big waves.
Very friendly staff who served excellent food. 
Would recommend this place any day.

Very nice stay in this small hotel.

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. 
The room was large, spacious, clean and had a great feel to it. The bed was large and amazingly comfortable 
The balcony looked out to sea through some palm trees and it was wonderful to just sit and relax, especially in the mornings.

When we arrived we were a bit worried as usually we like to walk to different restaurants. There are a few along the track but the food at Seven Turtles was so good and varied that we barely left the resort for the whole six days for anything than wildlife spotting 

The breakfasts were great and everything was so fresh. The eating area is a raised platform on the beach that looks out to sea - fabulous. The owner is very eco friendly and also has adopted two very well behaved and cute street dogs.  
We did a tour to see turtles laying eggs just along the beach. A Tuk tuk there and back was only a few pounds  

The staff and owners were exceptional and very accommodating. We hope we will be able to return here, there were no downsides for us.

You won’t regret staying here

Hotel is small and on a very quiet beach.
You have to enjoy just laying in sun and listening vawes.
Personel here are really nice and owner of this hotel is so helpful.

Amazing stay in Tangalle!!

we stayed at 7 turtles in August. We were fine and the hosts were very kind. the resort's two dogs keep guests company without disturbing them but there is a third dog who is always with them. she is very good and shy... please adopt her too and sterilize her 🙏🏻❤️

Bella vacanza

Absolutely brilliant stay! The owner makes sure every customer is looked after well .Lovely cosy resort by the beach, which had a clean stretch of sand . Glad we chose this quieter part of the island and this lovely resort to stay!
Food was excellent- choice of European and local cuisine to choose from.
Spa services were very good and reasonably priced. The gardens in the resort were carefully maintained and shows the attention to detail ,by the owners! 
Wish we really stayed longer and sure will come back in the future!

Brilliant!

The hotel is teriffic! Very cozy and neat. No mold in bathroom this is really good work in such climate. The host are so pleasant. They give us bicycles to explore location. It was amazing. Rice fields, other beaches, temple, countrysides. Breakfast perfect, huge portions (porridge, fruits, eggs). 
Dinner best cooked al dente pasta! Fresh fish steak. Everything is really delicious. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Recommend 10 of 10 😚💙


Nice hotel in quiet place with wonderful surroundings

We decided to go for this resort as we wanted some place “off the path”and we definitely chose the right place. Resort right on the beautiful sandy wide beach. Rooms were clean and staff very attentive. They also have a SPA within the premise with different massage options. The resort can be a good choice for couples and families. I wouldn’t suggest it for solo travelers are there is literally nothing in the area within walkable distance,  “just” beautiful nature. 
Good restaurant, stunning loooong beach for walks or though runs ;-)
Surely if you chose this place you should get a tUK TUK and head to the turtle beach ( 3km away ) where around 8pm you could see turtles laying eggs, a truly unique experience. Please note you would need to go with some local guys and do a donation. Worthy every single $$

Yes Man! Stunning location

Being locals, this was our 1st visit to this particular coastline of Sri Lanka. It was an amazing time at a super place. We spent 2 nights from 19-21 August 2022. Everything was really great and we had a great time. The pool was clean, the beach was un spoilt, the food was good and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Was nice to meet the owner Constantine himself at the hotel and he was very hospitable. It's tough times these days in Sri Lanka for the hospitality side and that's probably a reason why there was not so much food choices but that was ok. What we had was just good enough. Excellent place for a relaxed holiday

We spent 2 weeks with our kids at 7 Turtles and loved every minute. Beautifully designed accommodation, super friendly and hospitable staff, great food, fantastic remote location. Absolutely recommendable!!! Felt like a home away from home!

One of a kind holiday

This is an honest review of our time at Seven Turtles, check my other reviews...there are few that go into this level of depth. I will start with what were my concerns based on other reviews of the hotel....

Building work, noise, sandflies etc etc etc. None of these were ever an issue. 

My partner and I (both living in Dubai) were looking for a location whereby which we could relax in a lesser populous area of Sri Lanka.

After research and discussion with Constantine over email (who always replied honestly and promptly) we decided that Seven Turtles was our choice.

We arrived and the young lady on reception gave us an excellent introduction, providing all the necessary information with a smile. We were taken to the beach bungalow (NO 9) and were impressed with the modern facilities and space available.

Apart from two trips, we spent all of our time in the resort. The hotel is in a secluded area of Ranna and you will either need Tuk Tuks, to make use of the free bicycles or hire a scooter (2000 rupees) from the hotel if you wish to venture out.

On our first night we took a walk around and ate in a local restaurant. Having eaten in the hotel restaurant for four out of the remaining five nights following this, in my opinion, that was an error. The food is fresh and incredible. Food and drinks are well priced and I could not have asked for more.

If you want the Sri Lankan breakfast (which I had four out of six times) you must order the day before. On the day we went for a safari, we were still provided with breakfast when we returned at around 1pm. You also need to let the bar staff know you want dinner (whilst this may seem a bit unusual, they are a small hotel with only 10 rooms).

Cocktails are delicious and there are a good selection. The only thing I would have loved to have seen would be beer on tap, however this is a rarity even among the bigger hotels.

There are three (sometimes two) incredible doggos that you will see around the hotel. Vocal and energetic, they pose no threat and made our stay so much more enjoyable. If you don't like dogs, they will pay you no attention if you just ignore them (be mindful there are countless dogs on every street and in every hotel).

Contantine and his partner (so sorry to have not learned your name) are friendly and will provide anything you need.

The bar staff are cheery and friendly and will go out of there way to help you.

The staff who clean the rooms are lovely and clean the rooms to an exceptional standard. The laundry service was also brilliant, we had whites and coloured clothing cleaned and returned ironed the next day.

We spent six nights relaxing to the sound of nature, waves and the rustling of palm trees. There really is nothing more we could have asked for from this incredible place and we will be back.
