Do not go or book this one. They show you a good room and when you arrived its not the room you booked. And then they will say they will return the advance money. Do not choose this one. 😡😡😡😡 worst ever

Worst ever hotel 😡

I had a 2 nights stay with my Family at Hotel Vindiv Nuwara Eliya, which was very relaxed and comfortable. Rooms were very clean, and tidy, and the Beds were very comfortable. Service was Excellent, the staff from the junior to the Front office were very supportive, and obliging, they were all out to go the extra mile to make us have a happy and relaxed holiday. Food was superb, and the hotel ensured that all precautions were taken to control the spread of covid-19. highly recommend

Excellent place for relaxation with family

Worst restaurant in Nuwara Eliya. Very expensive,not worth, We ate Bread for Breakfast (6 pcs) with Egg and dhal and it costs Rs.600 for 2 person. And the Tea cost Rs.100, which was served without a plate, (thats a discipline which should have in a restaurant), The cups are not washed well. There are tea marks in the Cup.

Not worth for the Expense of the Restaurant, Not Clean Cups

I was traveling alone with my guide and we had to stay an unplanned night in Nuwara Eliya since it was dark. We decided to stay in this hotel since it had available rooms and we finally came to understand why. It was so dirty and the sheets weren't washed at all. The staff is very arrogant and the manager was so bad with his service. Do not visit.

Worst place in the city

This is not a typical hotel in Nuwara Eliya. No service at all. The manager is rude and I was overcharged for a homestay type of a room. The food is not good and the buffet was really bad. No professional to look around

Unclean mess

We stopped for a quick coffee break and disappointed with the service and conditions. Coffee is over priced as an avarage coffee. Mostly disappointing part was toilets. They were not maintained and even one without a door panel. Won’t be visiting again.

We stopped off for food after traveling the morning from Ella. It was a buffet lunch and we were told it was 600 rupees each which seemed okay. Unfortunately the hot buffet was no longer and all dishes were cold. When it came to paying the manager charged us for every extra chicken wing we ate. The chicken wings were 50 rupees each and us having tried to fill ourselves now found out we had an extra 500 rupees to pay. I argued with the manager that generally a buffet does not include only 1 piece (a wing) of meat. He was very rude and ignorant and disregarded our point with anger. Avoid at all costs. I wouldn’t mind if the food was decent but it was pathetic. 

Avoid at all costs 

We arrived pretty late in the afternoon following a long drive in the rain from Hatton so we just walked in and asked if they had a room. They did but the price we were told was 6000. From the outside we thought it was expensive but decided we just wanted to get in somewhere and rest. The room seemed ok on first glance but once checked in and looked closely it was dirty and tired. One chair in the window fell apart in our hand. Only given one towel. We had to ask for more towels and New chair. The windows although seemed like a nice view of the lake had massive gaps around the edges which let in mozzies and the sound from outside was pretty loud as on a main road. There was no one else in the hotel so no food was offered. Although we didn’t ask as felt like an inconvenience. And to top all this off when we checked out to pay the bill the guy wanted another 600 for vat. We were furious as no other hotel or guest house quoted us a price minus vat. Without telling us. The owner was rude and laughed in our face when we said the room wasn’t even worth 6000 let alone 6600. We ended up paying as what could we do. But the guy just laughed at us. DO NOT waste your money here. Def go somewhere else.

Avoid this hotel

Situated very close to gregory lake, but the hotel does not look clean enough. Food is ok but not worth for what you pay. Prices are too high and portions are too little when compared with other restaurents in nuwareliya.
