28 reviewsFor the money and location this is a very good choice straight from the airport. Close to the bus station and thus easy to reach. We stayed in two rooms as a family of five. One room was a double with a single but had no mosquito nets, but was cool (ish) with the windows open and fan running. The top floor room was much hotter even with the windows open and fan running as I think the ceiling is made from a more insulating material. AC can be taken as an option but we ultimately didn't need it. The bathrooms were clean, with slightly low water pressure on the hot power showers but the cold water showers were good and strong. Breakfast was a basic affair with egg and salad rolls first day, and some plantain pancakes second day; each time served with a cup of tea. There is some noise from the local area, music during the day and dogs etc as you'd expect from a local neighbourhood but night wasn't too bad, but light sleepers would likely not get a good night's sleep. There are a number of restaurants locally but none are really western focused if that is your desire and you'll need to grab a rickshaw to Ettukala for anything with a little more quirk. Loads of good rice and curry, kottu, roti etc nearby as you'd expect which was all we were after anyway. Overall worthwhile and we'd stay again but purely for location over anything.
