We had a wonderful time with our friends and families on 24/07/2022.
Since it was within Colombo and easily accessible we got over the biggest problem Sri Lanka is currently facing "TRANSPORTATION"... 
The kids loved the pool and the boys enjoyed a good game of "8 ball pool" in the bungalow's club house". The ladies admired the antiques and the beautiful furniture. We all had no problems agreeing on how delicious the food was... Kudos to Mr. Ramu the cook for giving our taste buds a good run during our stay. Dilshan and Roshan were extremely corporative. They prioritized our needs and made our stay comfortable and hassle free..

Perfect for a Family Outing / Friends Get-together...

This is where fun goes to die. They expect you to not make noise because the neighbors complain. If you expect people to be quiet then why have a bungalow or a business in the first place. The caretaker was so rude and it was just a horrible experience all together.

What extraordinarily warm hospitality and gracious service throughout my daughter's 5 days at Bloomsbury. Her room was perfectly clean, air/conditioned, and spacious, with a private terrace. The entire house was beautifully decorated and the breakfast and dinner that she ate each night was delicious and customized (vegetarian). The owners were genuinely kind and always helpful, arranging for transportation seamlessly, and they speak perfect English which made everything so easy for a traveler. The home is nestled in the trees behind a very secure gate and felt perfectly safe; it was convenient for her activities in the area. There is also a lovely new pool. The value was extraordinary for the cost. Highly recommend Bloomsbury as I could not ask for anything more and would love to return!

Extraordinary hospitality, lovely property!

My fiance and I chose to stay at Bloomsbury because it was very close to where my grandmother lives.

The hotel is a little removed from Colombo, but is near a town center that is walking distance. It is also a short drive away from Mount Lavinia Beach and Bolgoda Lake. 

Ronnie the owner made contact with myself after I booked to confirm we would be staying and any dietary requirements. We stayed over the Sri Lankan New Year period and he even went out of his way to find us a car and a driver. Right from the start the service was always above and beyond our expectations. 

Bimal, was there to greet us on arrival and cooked up a amazing feast for us every morning. And the driver that Ronnie organised and Bimal were super friendly and very attentive.

The rooms had been newly renovated and were very clean. Air conditioning was very effective, we were always comfortable in our rooms. I felt very safe while we at Bloomsbury feeling very relaxed. 

I would highly recommend Bloomsbury if you are looking for something in the out skirts of Colombo and wanting calm safe environment.

Brilliant Hospitality! Will return again!

We stayed 11 days in March 2016 in Bloomberg Resort in Piliyandala, Colombo,Sri Lanka and this was amazing. Nimal and Lakmali family treat us like family and they are very attentive for everything we need. They prepared very Sri Lankan breakfast and enjoyed lot. – This place is very safe and close to everything even to the Beach in Month Lavinia and Bolgoda Lake. Also, air AC rooms, bath rooms and other facilities are really good. 
The other advantage is that they have an Ayurveda SPA and medicinal treatment for short and long term basis on site. Qualified Ayurveda Doctor on site during the treatment and SPA.

This resort itself is very beautiful – quiet, really cozy, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, good equipped kitchen, and lovely garden with beautiful nature sounds - birds etc.

Usually we don't return to the places we have been, but it seems that we will be back. We recommend this place for everyone, if you want a very quiet and comfy place to stay out of Colombo busy streets.
