We stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute of it! The hosts are so welcoming and very friendly! Our room had a balcony with a view overlooking a river where we saw plenty of wildlife and even had the local monkies come and join us on our balcony too! The breakfast was great and it was only a 5 minute walk to the beach where there were lots of restaurants to choose from. 5 stars all around! Couldn’t recommend more!

Amazing Stay!

I came here by lucky and till now this was the best guest house so far...... the staff is very friendly and the guest house is only 3 minuta walking to the beach and the best thing is that is very peaceful eating only birds not cars and party

Best breakfast and bet staff

I thought this place was clean, comfortable, quiet and super well priced compared to other places in Mirrissa. I liked the setting in the garden near the creek where there are monkeys, iguana's and things like that. My room and a nice little balcony with some cool chairs and french doors which was great to just relax and read at. So good to be off the main road in mirrissa and away form the main beach so you can get some peace and quiet away from traffic and doof doof. The family who runs the guest house is reserved but helpful and friendly, and they run a cram school for school kids at night which is cool.

Ripper place

The place is very quiet and close to the beach. We stayed here three nights and loved it. Rooms are basics but ours was big including a nice balcony with view on the river. It was confortable we slept very well. We took the nice breakfast in the garden. Food was very good.  
They provided us private cooking class in their kitchen it was nice! Yoga classes as well. 
He does close the wi-fi sometimes but just ask for it he puts it right away. 
I recommend this place!! 


We loved it!!

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights during Xmas and new year and loved it. The family were lovely and we had the best food here than we had anywhere in Sri Lanka...This was real home cooking and was perfect. I agree that the rooms are in need for a slight uplift but for us as long as it was clean which it was then that was fine. I had my mother who is 80 years old and she was in the room downstairs which was perfect for her..The only thing I would have liked is to have had some space for our clothes, there wasn't really much room for two of us and a baby in the room upstairs. We loved to sit in the garden and see the monkeys in the afternoon, my granddaughter loved seeing them swinging from the trees. We spent 3 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka and this is one place we are still talking about as this is what Sri Lanka is all about. The owner arranged for his friend who is a Tuk Tuk driver to take us out on a trip and he took us around the area for the whole day and we visited several places. He also arranged for a van to take us to our next destination. We left at 5am and the whole family including his two children got up to see us off which they really didn't need to do. One tip is don't bother trying the restaurants, ask the owner to cook one of her wonderful dishes as you won't get better!! Beach is just a 5 minute walk but away from the noise of the Main Street.

Lovely guesthouse and family

A lovely guesthouse set back from the beach surrounded by beautiful gardens. We'd recommend staying here but only if you book by booking.com first. We turned up the day before and reserved a room which we couldn't see as someone was sleeping off their hangover, but were shown another on the ground floor and told it was very similar. On arrival the next day, the room was half the size at the back of the house with a slow fan - making it hot and rife for mosquitos! The owner explained he'd taken 2 bookings online so had to prioritise them! He tried to make it up to us by lowering the rate slightly (though still expensive) and offering free water and coconuts but that was hardly ideal when we'd wasted an afternoon traipsing around in the heat trying to find a place to stay. Very unprofessional and not ideal for travellers who don't wish to plan their entire trips online in advance!
