Absolutely wonderful place and people ! A small private place with owners who care for their guests, very nice beachgarden. Good Wi-Fi and very tasteful breakfast. Nice dinners being prepared too !  Love the family !

Well… where should I start. That was the best stay we had in our whole three weeks of Sri Lanka. The staff there is so friendly and cares a lot about your well-being. The food is very delicious and it’s always amazing to just have a fruit shake at the beach while looking at the beautiful waves. The location is incredible! The main road is walking distance, it’s not loud our crowded or anything. And the guest house is directly at the beach, you go out of the room and feel the sand between your toes immediately. It’s almost like having a private beach to yourself. They also organize tours or other experiences for you. I would always come back to this place!!

Most amazing stay

This was the best stay so far in Sri Lanka! A very nice clean room with balkony, clean big bathroom! Good aircondition, fan, dustbins, clean sheets, clean towels!
Very nice view from the balkony to the sea and beach! It’s quiet, you only hear the ocean!
Many restaurants in walking distance!
Amazing breakfast in the garden/beach area!
The family was so nice and friendly!
Helped us with transportation and turtle watching and so on!
You won’t find a better place here!

Great beach hotel

The place is really beautiful, with an open ing to the beach. They are palm trees in front to make shadow during the heat. The rooms are big with large windows and well equiped: AC, hot water etc  The owner is helpful and thoughtful .The breakfast is delicious and his rice an cury one of the best we ate in Sri-Lanka.

I totally recommend it!

Perfect place to chill out

We just spent three days at the Sunray Beach. The family that run this are just lovely and really help with everything from laundry to arranging taxi and moped. 
They provide a beautiful breakfast out on the ocean front with the sound of the waves. 
They are in the process of re building the whole of the rooms and the new rooms are just perfect with tiles through out. We actually stayed in the older room which was still sea view and had plenty of space. 
Fall asleep to the ocean waves and relax in peace and quiet on the beach with a really good breakfast, can not ask for more.

What a beautiful place and what a lovely people! We enjoyed our stay very much. We specially recommend the delicious dinners. Instead of two nights we stayed nine nights! So don't hesitate and book your stay!!

Located right on the beach.  We stayed in the spacious and airy upstairs room for 2 nights which easily turned into 5 nights. The food was delicious and the portions were ample. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax and swim in the great waves. Samudra is a wonderful cook and she generously showed me some recipes in the family's small immaculate kitchen. I couldn't recommend it more!

Bliss!

Najila and his family run this beautiful family homestay. The facilities are easy and comfortable while the owner will take care of you a lot and preserve you with excellent food. If you ask, they'll show you how the sri lankan cuisine works.

It's located directly at the beach and there is definitely no need for AC due to the chill breeze at night. We stayed in a budget room which may not be as comfortable and spacious as the ones with sea view but still a very good choice. 

Hammocks, comfy chairs and breakfast and dinner outside makes this place a wonderful and relaxing one!

Wonderful place and holiday, extraordinary owner family

Being right on the beach was all I needed, and this covered that! Keep expectations in check, as it is not a five-star resort, it is a small, locally owned place. It could use an update, but it has everything you could ask for! The top room facing the beach is the best. The Sri Lankan breakfast was my favorite I had my whole trip! So delicious, and they give you huge portions. It honestly looked like we didn't like it because there was still so much left, but we ate as much as we could! The owner is sweet and the rooms are adequate. Wifi is not good, but that's why you spend $8 to get a SIM card for data at the airport :) It was a bit overpriced for the quality of the room, in my opinion, but beachfront property is never super cheap.
