After a complimentary pick-up at the train station, we received a free room upgrade, which we highly appreciated. Our villa was beautiful, perfectly decorated and furnished with Chinese elements, boasted a private pool and offered great views of the surrounding mountains. Our service was done by one employee, Priyantha. He was very comforting, helpful, polite and competent. He cooked lunch, dinner and breakfast for us. Every single one of these meals was delicious. He further organized a good driver for the continuation of our trip. The whole hotel is very peaceful and even has horses on the premise. This, however, also means that it is 30 minutes by car from Kandy. Therefore, it would not be your no. 1 choice if you wanted to stay in Kandy. As for the food, while it is delicious, it is slightly special that you can only choose between three meals (Sri Lankan, Chinese and pasta). Hence, all in all we can highly recommend this hotel but maybe it is not the number one choice for everyone.

Good and special hotel

Before I start, let me say I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.  
Now for the pros and cons. It is a bit of a drive to get there and make sure you have your phone with GPS because your driver will likely get lost if he/she hasn’t been there before. Once you get there though the views are stunning, the food was spectacular and while the accommodations are a bit lacking for a luxury resort, they’re pretty darn good overall, and for this area they are top notch. We stayed in Cabana 1 which I think has the most privacy, a private pool and the best view. The staff were all very friendly just be patient if you are speaking English you’ll get there ;-). Breakfast is included but the time you want to eat needs to be arranged. Dinner and Lunch also can be arranged if you give them a couple hours lead time. Options are limited since the main hotel (8 rooms, plus 20 more to come later) wasn’t finished when we were there in April ‘19. Each meal price for the 2 of us was $30 USD, which is very high for Sri Lanka but the taste was spectacular - well worth the cost.  
An interesting thing with Power - it goes out several times per day for an hour or two at a time. Not sure if this is the norm or a seasonal thing, just expect it.  Also be prepared to pay cash at the end of your stay in case the power is out and you can’t use credit card. There were a few unfinished thing in the room and some things like the power blinds weren’t all working but those were minor things & didn’t take away from our stay. This looks to be an amazing resort when it’s finished and I’m exited to come back and give it 5-stars when it’s done and they have a full menu for meals.

And the place lives up to the expectations!
Splendid views, relaxed atmosphere, superb friendly staff. We had a fine dinner. We all feel healthier (mentally and physically) than before!

Great views

We booked the YKP to get some peace and quietness and it could not have been better. A beautiful small hotel with stunning views down to Kandy. Yes, it is a bit outside, the ride to Kandy takes about 30 minutes. But it’s absolutely worth it. Our luxury lovely designed cabana with private swimming pool and particularly the super friendly staff topped everything. The team was very accommodating and helpful. Especially the kitchen was brilliant. The breakfast always was delicious, brilliantly cooked with a wide range of different dishes from Sri Lanka. The same applied to dinner. We loved it here and were very sad to leave this hideaway in the mountains.

Awesome stay at Yale Kandy Park

Lovely place to Stay with cool & Calm in Hill Capital of Sri Lanka and also you can do the Horse ride but it's  little far away from the City centre drive with Narrow road , it's take 45mins to get to Hotel once you reached here you feel like a Haven

Lovely rooms that have been well designed. We had room with private pool overlooking the garden where horses roam freely.

Feels like an authentic Sri Lanka experience in mountains. 

Suggestions:
Needs a guest book that outlines dinner and breakfast options and protocol. We went for dinner at 6pm and were told the options of Chinese, pasta or local food. We picked local and waited 45-50 minutes. We didn’t mind as you sit and watch them make everything fresh with great views. A book that highlights all these things would go long way.
