We stayed here one night, the rain was torrential.
The owner ran back and forth to accommodate us. 
We had a homemade Sri Lankan curry for dinner made by the owner and his wife.
Lovely pots of tea.
Breakfast was coconut rotty.
The view was beautiful, even with the rain and cloud.
The room was basic and had  everything we needed plus a lovely hot shower.
Our biggest bonus was the gorgeous friendly dog, she kept us company the whole time.

Amazing views

We loved our stay at Ella Mountain Palace!  We spent three nights here, perched up on a mountain ridge with fabulous views across to Little Adam's Peak and the town of Ella.  Its about 10 min from town, away from the hustle and bustle.  Prasad is a wonderful host, the food was delicious and meals were eaten on a patio outside to admire the views.  The room was very large and clean and there was great Wifi.  Highly recommended!!

Paradise!

We were very happy with our stay. The owner is a very nice man and the room was spacious and clean. Diner and breakfast were tasty. Especially in the morning during breakfast you have an amazing view!

Perfect example of the hospitability in Sri Lanka

We are two girls from Luxembourg visiting Ella for two days. We are happy to have booked the Mountain Palace homestay during this time. The host and his family were very friendly and let us feel comfortable during our whole stay. The room was big and clean and the food was delicious! We also loved the view of our room over whole Ella. Furthermore the homestay was easy to reach by car! We would recommend this homestay to everyone making a trip to Ella.

Two wonderful days in Ella

What a fantastic place to stay in ELLA, had a delicious breakfast with stunning mountain view. Owner is really a nice gentleman and very helpful. Easy access from Ella to Mountain palace. Owner got his own Tuk Tuk and a Car so you dont have to worry about getting in to nearby attractions. Place is very clean and especially bathroom is exceptional. Keep it up the good work. Stayed there 3 Nights, Me and my family highly recommend this place to any one who looking for fantastic place to stay.

Fantastic Place / Great Hospitality

Our driver found us this lovely out of the way retreat just far enough away from the tourist heavy Ella. Greeted with complimentary afternoon tea, over looking a peaceful valley we were straight away happy with the booking. The decent sized room and bathroom were only slightly marred by a hefty ant presence in the toilet seat that thankfully migrated elsewhere in the night. An amazing home cooked curry, friendly welcome and great view more than made up for it. Also worth mentioning that, at time of writing and at our fifth location the best WiFi we’ve found on the island.

Room with a view

Incredible setting high up on a ridge 10 mins drive out of Ella, with beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset.  We had a driver so getting in and out of town was easy for us. Prasad very welcoming and helpful.  There are only two rooms in the hotel and both are en-suite and clean. Nice breakfast.  Ideal if you are looking for somewhere peaceful to lay your head for a night or two during your tour.

Beautiful views 10 mins drive away from the bustle of Ella town

The Ella Mountain Palace is a really special and wonderful Place. The rooms are big, clean and nice. The View over the Mountains is absolutely perfect. Prasad is so friendly and helps you always when you need something (like Tips or a TukTuk). We felt really like at home. The Guesthouse is easy to reach. You need a few minutes by Tuk Tuk to go there from Ella. I would ever come back!

A wonderful Time

The premises, the view, the hospitality and the breakfasts... everything was on a level that made us feel at home. One day Prasad also offered to drive us around in his tuk, so we could visit the tea factory, little Adam's peak, and a secret waterfall (not so secret anymore judging by a group of Pinocchios (idiots who will never be real people) polluting the serenity of the place with loud dance "music").
Also as one reviewer before me noted, it's away from the rumble of Ella. One thing though, if you're a coffee drinker, due to the hyper-tourism you'll find the best approximation to an espresso in the area.
Thanks and hope to pass by again as soon as possible.

A stay to remember

A beautiful retreat away from the noise and sometimes party vibe of Ella. 5km's along Passara Rd , across the valley from Little Adams peak lies Prasad's lovely accomodation. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Fan cooled, hot water, home cooked meals, lovely breakfast and the views ...oh wow. Front and back of the rooms are amazing views and trees. Waking to bird song and the smells of nature. Easy enough to get into and out of town either via Prasad, tuk tuk or frequently running local bus ( just hail them and they stop anywhere). We stayed 3 nights and would loved to have stayed longer to discover the region further. Thank you Prasad and your wonderful family. Prasad also offers transport to ongoing destinations if required.
