We stayed 02 nights here during our visit to Anuradapura. It’s so close to the sacred city. And I must mentioned that this place is cheap, safe and clean. The staff who works are so friendly and they give us their best service. Highly recommended

Good place

Clean and comfortable rooms with air conditioning. Clean attached bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking space. This pilgrims' rest provides the best value when compared with all other budget hotels. 

WiFi internet access is available. Morning tea is provided, but they do not provide meals. However, meals can be be bought at the Ceybank Rest House with is located just next to Rathnamali Pilgrims Rest. 

Conveniently located in a quiet area of the city providing easy access to the current city centre and the  ancient sacred city. 

There are multiple room options ranging from double rooms to rooms for six people. I'm not sure whether they have single rooms with air conditioning.

Comfortable overnight stay for an incredibly low price

We’ve stayed Rathnamali pilgrims rest guest house one night during our 2 days trip at Anuradhapura.
Clean and budget friendly place with parking. Very convenient location situated near to pilgrims places.
We booked 1 family room and 2 double rooms with air-conditioned  facility. We satisfied the room condition and amenities available.
Family room had 3 queen size beds.
Double room had 2 queen size beds

They will provide the access to the kitchen if you want to prepare offerings in the morning.
But there is only one gas cooker available. So you need to woke up early to make it,because there is a queue for preparing offers.
Place is quiet and more religious friendly,suitable to stay for buddhist monks as well.
Make sure to bring your  own sanitary essentials because they will not provide those.

You need to bring your foods outside. As they do not have a restaurant inside. But they did have a small canteen inside. Not sure what is available there as we did not visit there.

Even though we booked air-conditioned rooms, there were mosquitos inside the rooms. So don’t forget to bring your mosquito repellent product when you are going there.

Overall experience is not bad. Good and budget friendly place. Nice local people are providing there service. If the services and facilities are upgraded, they will surely increase there charges.

Budget friendly clean place

First of all I must say I was amazed to get a room for about Rs. 3000 with AC and the room quality was also excellent. We spent one night there and though the place doesn't have the most glamorous looks it is completely okay to spend a night or two here if you are in Anuradhapura. Sleep quality was good but I wasn't that happy with the amenities but then again for Rs. 3000 what was available was more than enough. They have ample parking space too. So if I am traveling to Anuradhapura again I will definitely consider this place to spend the night.

Worth it !!!

The place has a newly built AC rooms behind the original old building. I booked an AC room everything was nice. But have to say, I had a little peek at non AC rooms. They were totally bad. Little rooms, non comfortable beds, etc. AC rooms are quite good except the bathroom was little smelly. Staff member came with me didnt know if theres wifi or not but fortunately I found the Wifi password written near the staircase.
Theres a car park which is quite big. And a nice canteen where u can buy meals and stuff. Canteen lady was nice and helpful. Food was also good and cheap. Most importantly warm. 

Overall It was a good stay. But I can't recommend a non AC room.

Good stay

The prices of this place are reasonable. It opens at 5.00 AM and closes at 10.00 PM. They do not prove food. They have air-conditioned rooms and non-ari conditioned rooms. Also, they have rooms for groups.

Place to spend the Night

Room is ok, but toilets are not clean and very basic toiletries are provided. Outside the rooms is also messy. Walking distance to the main temples.
During our stay it was very crowded. Security staff is very helpful.

First thing its cheap. Clean but toilets are little smelly. Easy to access Anuradhapura town and historical places. comfortable rooms with A/C.Friendly and helpful staff. Parking space available. Its not look like those photos.

Budget travelers's place

Never recommend.very bad experience was there.no customers caring.they talk to customers very badly.they think people are stay there free of charge.very very bad staff.the staff is better to get terrible experience
