When I arrived the greeting was not as what I expected with a smoke-filled reception in a grumpy man working the desk. When I didn't understand he would repeat and kept raising his voice and yelling.
However the rooms were clean and decent considering the price I paid, 30 €

Had a lovely stay here. It's a basic hotel but the room I had was good value. It was a large room with a double bed and had great views of the city centre. You are clise to the shops and train station and only a 10 min stroll to the historic centre. If you were a woman staying alone here maybe the security could be better. No parking and only wifi in reception.

Great location, comfortable and clean

Pasé una noche ahí y no volvería ni gratis. Habitaciones viejas, con un colchón incomodísimo y la persona que me atendió (no sé si dueño, trabajador...) muy mal educado y desagradable. 

I spent one night there and I'd not go back even though it were for free. Old rooms, very uncomfortable mattress and the guy at reception more than rude...

If the TripAdvisor ratings were based solely on the ratio of what a place claims to be/what it actually IS/the price they charge you for it, then Alteza would have to get 5 stars.

They are a 1 star hotel. The conditions are those of a 1 star hotel. The price is that of a 1 star hotel (if not less).

In fact, as someone else pointed out, there are places in London with similar conditions which boast 3 stars and charge adequately more.

I won't comment on the room, it was a fairly clean and warm place to spend the night. Nothing more.

It's worth to point out that because of the excellent location on the main street, it was noisy and I had to use earplugs.

It's a family run quirky little place- if you want to see it as such. 

It is what it is 

We stayed there 1 night in a 1 week journey by the North of Spain. Didn't make any previous reservation, so it was arriving at Oviedo and getting a room close to center. We got a room in Hotel Alteza, in the center, however we hated the room. Old, no luxury at all, bathroom very poor, not suitable for the price. Oviedo deserves much more, because it's a magnific city. I hope to return but in other hotel.
