Apartamentos Drac

Our first time in Apartmentos Drac, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Here are a few tips for anyone planning to visit Cala Santanyi. Apartments were beautifully clean, had full working kitchen, except for a washing machine, but hand washing dries quickly. Beds were comfortable, apartment no. 2 and no. 3 are very spacious. Our family stayed in Apt.2, as a large outside area for the children to play, but be aware that the wall is not very high that overlooks the beach, so adventurous children need to be watched if out playing. Apt. no. 3, which we stayed in, has a long terrace and is above the Cafe bar. All of the apartments were just a few steps to the beach. We had a taxi from airport at Palma, and recommend JANERBUS for the transfer, as were very prompt and reasonable.. just 102 Euros each way for the 6 of us on a minibus. I would recommend that anyone with a famiy takes the time to ask the Taxi taking you from the airport to stop at either the Mercadona, or Eroski Supermarket on the way to the apartment........ and if there for a week, get a weeks supply of food, drinks, water, and whatever you may need if eating at home, which we did for a few nights. The Supermarket at the top of a lot of steps above the beach is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE... i.e. 2.70 for a Iceberg Lettuce, 2.50 for 4 yogurts. Every item you can think of was at least 4 times the price of most supermarkets, but there is no other supermarket by the beach at Cala Santanyi... SO,.. TAKE my advice and pay an extra amount to the Taxi for a big shop stop , if you are planning on a few meals at home in apartment. It has wonderful facilities for cooking a great meal. The Restaurant on the beach is very lovely, a nice menu, and not too bad a price being as on the beach, Drinks are expensive though, and there is only the Restaurant or the small bar/cafe, which is also very pricey. I know that you expect to pay a bit more when in a beautiful situation..i.e.. the beach and cove are amazing... but take my advice,. plenty of booze and drinks and food in apartment, and still see the amazing beauty of the scenery on your balcony for a quarter of the price. My husband recommends the Lamb shoulder and the Lamb chops in the Restaurant. Our grandchildrent recommend the Iced cones from the Ice cream bar at the restaurant, which is open all day and evening. Lastly, there is no A.C. or fans at the apartments, so necessary to have windows open when very warm, but..... no mosquito blinds on the windows, so make sure you take protection from the bites. I hope to go back again in the future, but now I know to be prepared; Hoping that this helps anyone to make their minds up to go somewhere like Cala Santanyi. Taxi to Cala dor is approx 25 euros each way for a bit livelier time, if required. Bus to Santanyi is 1.50 each, and the market is on a Wednesday and a Saturday. from the carpark beyond the beach, approx 10.30 am in them morning, and a taxi costs approx 10 euros. Cala Santanyi... beautiful beach, great for young families, that dont want the noise at night, the cove is so safe for youngsters to paddle and swim in. Lastly, No English Tv. German only, but... my advice .. take your firestick and log in, as does have wifi, or your chromecast etc ,
