Seems this hostel is the same as "Barcelona 4 fun"? I stayed here for a couple of nights in December 2015. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful and down to earth and quite funny! The room was large and had wifi and a large wardrobe for putting your stuff in. The showers were clean. The interior of the building looks amazing! It is also centrally located, next to the port, las ramblas, the centre of Barcelona, etc. the only downside is that this place was difficult to get into! I arrived late at night, at around 23h00, and while I found the place ok, as it was about 5 stories high, I didn't know which buzzer to press to be let in, as there was no signage or nothing indicating the hostel is inside. Luckily there nice young ladies from Italy was entering the same building and had a key with them and let me in, and as I was walking up the stairs, the reception guy came and got me after hearing someone coming up the stairs. So you might experience some trouble actually getting into the place as it's not well indicated that there is a hostel in the building. Apart from that, everything else went fine.

Lovely place that is hard to locate!

Great location! Hostel was a bit hard to find (no signs). No elevator. Room for two was very ascetic and could have had better sheets. Very noisy all the time (thin walls) and could hear other people snore in the other rooms at nightime. Air was thick in the room and it didn't help opening the window.

To start with there was no signage to indicate which buzzer was for Blue Hostel, we only managed to enter the building when some people leaving let us in. 

Our room was unbearably hot and stuffy. The room had a window overlooking other rooms (very little privacy & noisy), and had a large drop to the ground floor, not very safe. With the heat and noise it made it impossible to sleep! We requested a fan as other rooms appeared to have multiple fans, we were told this would be arranged. Seems miscommunication between staff led to our fan being given to another group, leaving us without. As there was rarely a person on reception (as we visited out of season), it was nearly impossible to get anything done to make our stay even slightly more comfortable. 
 
The facilities in the bathroom were run down and barely working, water did not maintain consistent temperature in the shower and lever on the toilet didn't work to flush it.

Furthermore, both myself and my friend received a number of bites during our holiday, at first we thought these were just from midges but by the end of our stay were covered in bites and realised that they were from BEDBUGS!!!!!! We spoke to the manager, who was less than apologetic and asked if we just wanted to leave the property. After some discussion we agreed to move to a different room as we didn’t want the hassle of trying to arrange more accommodation during our holiday. We were moved to a larger room and were given a fan however we still woke to more bedbug bites. 

We agreed a reduced fee for our stay with the manager due to the poor conditions, but on leaving the property I received a charge to my credit card and was not able to get through to speak to the manager. Luckily after much dispute, booking.com were able to reclaim the funds from this unauthorised payment. 

This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed, the rooms were so hot and stuffy, and riddled with bed bugs. There were rarely staff available in the office to raise concerns with. Whilst the location of this property was good, it was about the only thing it had going for it. Finally after a terrible stay to be charged more money on my credit card just reflects how money grabbing and careless the people that run this hostel are.

BEDBUGS! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This has been literally the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. The higene is completely non existent, and the people who work here don't give a.... Two nights ago I woke up with over 60 bed bug bites, and instantly went to management, we changed rooms but they  didn't fix the problem and gave or to another family. This is truly depressing and I believe this hostal should get closed by the government or something for its unhealthy practices.

CHINCHES!BEDBUGS!

Bed bugs in room and no one was willing to help us, so we had to leave early. Bad service, no apology and no refund. Victoria (the owner) ignored calls and emails afterwards. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Nobody was ever at the reception so it wasn't possible to get a towel since they were supposed to give it to you.
